Awkward Encounter

I woke up slightly late due to going to bed so late. It was Friday so I only had today then the weekend. Today I had to do my solo, I had been rehearsing last night and finally thought it was good enough to be judged. The only thing that dreaded me was an encounter with Ash, I had 2 free days due to having no lessons. I had ignored the several texts and calls I was getting from Ash and now it came down to this where I would be in the same room as him, singing for him and everyone. I suddenly started getting butterflies in my stomach and I felt like I was going to be sick. My parents had organised that Emily and Stephanie stay here and live with us and go to school with me and we would travel together back to England for the holidays.
There was a knock at my door, and Emily and Stephanie came in. I told them about my date the morning after. They had been very supportive and was going to act as barriers to stop him from coming near me. It sounded childish and immature but that's what I thought would help get me through the day.
Dad dropped us off at school and we got out. I was wearing a shirt, black trousers and black ballet flats. My makeup was simple eyeliner and lip gloss and my hair in a messy bun. Stephanie and Emily wore more casual jeans and a blouse with small heels. We walked to reception to get them registered. Then I showed them round, glad that they were best at the same subjects that I'm good at, so we were in the same class for everything. Maths was first period, so we carried on through the big oak doors to the maths block. Mr Bellas was our maths teacher, he was very tall and loud but was very nice and welcoming. We worked through a load of algebra and at the end he was pleased with how much Stephanie and Emily had joined in and answered all the questions, he said we didn't have any homework and was pleased with our effort.
We left his class with big smiles on our faces as we knew we wouldn't get any homework today. It was now that butterflies starting fluttering in my stomach, as our last lesson was Music and we all had to sing and Ash would be there.
We walked to the music room and sat down in the corner, luckily Ash wasn't here and hopefully he wasn't coming. It was wishful thinking but sadly my stomach dropped as he walked in. Mr Sarcov started the class as everyone went and sat down. Luckily Victoria Blake sat down next to me, so that Ash had to sit the other side of the room next to Kay. It was a slow start as Mr Sarcov was very good with technology so it took a long time to do the register. Stephanie was chosen first and she sung the song 'Cups' and did really well for someone who was normally shy. Emily was the forth to sing she sang 'Price Tag' by Jessie J really clearly and loud. Ash was chosen next and my throat tightened, I hadn't heard him sing before even though he was a pop star.
"I would like to dedicate this song to Megan Watts, my girlfriend." He said gesturing at me, I could see Kay glaring at me and I sank in my chair confused.
He started singing 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus, I listened lost in the words. His voice was like sweet honey, rich and lovely, it made me smile which annoyed me because he might think he was forgiven.
After everyone had sung it was my turn.
"Last but certainly not least Megan Watts." Mr Sarcov said as I stood up.
I had spent ages choosing my song and chose on my birthday that I would sing 'Since you've been gone' I started quite quiet and built up during the song. After I had finished Mr Sarcov stood up applauding my performance and grinned.
"I think that was the start of a promising career for you in singing." He said which cheered me up
After Music had finished and we were packing up, Mr Sarcov came over to speak to us.
"Hey girls, may I talk to you about the showcase?" He asked
"Sure" We answered
"Great Megan I've chosen you as the solo for the showcase and I was wondering as you girls are friends and live together and everything, would you do a group performance together just you 3? You all sang the best today and would love it if you would say yes." He asked
We looked at each other, and read each other's minds and answered
"Yes!"
I walked out the happiest I've been since the move, and started feeling like not so much of an outsider. Suddenly someone walked out in front of us, it was Ash.
"Did you like my performance it was for you." He asked
"Yes I thought you sang great, but that isn't enough. Not only did you not care about our date and totally ignored me, but you didn't ask your fans if they could see you after the film as you were on a date. I might have forgotten to mention it as I forgot but it was also my birthday." I said as I barged pat him with Steph and Emily following.
We got to the car park to see my mum waiting. She asked how our day went and I told her about getting the solo and Mr Sarcov asking us to perform a duo in the showcase. I then said to mum quietly that I was glad we moved to America. When we got home, Steph, Emily and I all went for a ride around our land and when we got back had dinner and went up stairs. We went into my room and was going through clothes as my phone buzzed. It was from Ash, "turn on Channel 256." It said
I did what it told me to do and a talk show came on. I was about to turn it off when Ash came on, he sat down on the guest chair and said he needed to make an announcement.
"I have a problem," he said "I like this girl but I messed up our date and now she hates me. Allan she has a voice of an angel and I sent my boss a recording of her singing and he loves it! I was wondering whether she might forgive me and give me a second chance. I love you Megan Watts!" He shouted
I turned off the TV and starred with my mouth open. I looked round at my friends and they said two words.
"forgive him."
I text him and said: Ok, I forgive you, and I grant a second chance but that's it." I put my phone down scared I might drop it, as we jumped up and down. I got into bed with a smile plastered over my face. I soon fell asleep dreaming.
