It was Monday morning and I sat up in bed, mentally preparing myself to get out of bed and get ready for school. Just then the door flew open and Emily and Steph ran in and jumped into bed with me.
"Right we've been thinking of songs to sing, I think we should do a sad like ballad but Steph thinks we should go upbeat. So what do you think?" Emily asked
"Why don't we do a ballad cross with an upbeat? You know mix two songs together." I said
"Omg, that's a great idea!" Stephanie said
We went through loads of songs but chose 'Titanium' and 'Diamonds' after a few run throughs we fixed it together and made a track. It was getting very exciting.
"So Megs, what are you going to sing for your solo?" Emily asked
"I was thinking like 'Crying for no reason' by Katy B?" I replied
"Oh, I love that song! You're going to sing it beautifully." Stephanie cried
We got up and jumped out of bed, I went over to my wardrobe and put on the same outfit I wore when I arrived in America which was: a mini dress tight around my torso with the skirt flowed out at my hips, I also put on a diamond necklace and a pair of diamond stud earrings. The shoes I chose were 2 inch ankle boots. My hair I did plaited bunches that started at my forehead. I walked downstairs to see my friends settling into a big breakfast. Emily had decided to wear black jeans and a red sparkly sequin top with a pair of stilettos. While Stephanie had chosen a sun dress and gladiator sandals. I sat down and had porridge with jam and pineapple juice for a change.
Dad dropped us off at the top of the drive as he was running late for a meeting. We walked down the drive slowly as we were concentrating more about talking, then the bell went that meant we were going to be late.
We ran into the music room loudly but no one was there. Then we saw the big message on the board saying that rehearsals were in the open auditorium which was the furthest building from the music block for some weird reason. So we turned and charged down the path to the amphitheater.
We arrived just as the first group finished their song. We went and signed in and started warming up, which consisted of lots of vocal scales. Then it finally came to us, we handed over the mix to the sound crew and got into position. The music blared out and we waited for the music cue to start singing. When we finished everyone was cheering and I started feeling insecure. Then Mr Sarcova told me we would have a 10 minute break and then come back and will rehearse my solo. I sat down next to Emily on a bench outside the amphitheater, watching everyone run around playing football. The only other girl that wasn't playing was Kay who was standing the opposite side of the pitch to us staring at Ash who was getting really sweaty. Mr Sarcova called me in and the music began to play, I started singing along enjoying the fact that my class mates were playing outside. I didn't realize until afterwards that everyone was watching I guess its the power of music. Not long after it was the end of the lesson. Just as I was walking out of the door, Ash grabbed my hand and pulled me along as we ran into the bushes."I wondered if we could give this dating thing another shot and go on a second first date and I promise if you say yes I will make it perfectly romantic." Ash said
"Ok but I am expecting a lot now, don't let me down," I replied
