[Excerpt of president y/n's "Those years after" speech]

As I make changes to this society we live in let it be known that it  starts with our children. They are our future not our entertainment.

To preface my further remarks on the education system and its future changes I would like each and every child to know that although they do not remember this you are safe from the past.

Act I: career centers will open to train students for professions and not for killing. Any other artillery centers will be shut down and swept of there contents.

Act II: A twelve month schooling system will be offered to every sixteen year old and above students to travel abroad in each district. Excluded districts are district 12 and 13. The student will study in their home district last and begin the yearly program in our brand new tower of trades and education in the capitol.

Act III: capitol psychologist will be distributed to teach and provide therapy to any student or adult who wishes for it.

Act VI: medical centers will open for educational opportunities as well as aid to anyone. They will receive high tech capitol remedies but this will require payment unlike public transportation.

Act V: the capitol currency is being rebranded and the school systems will be the first to test it out through a social experiment.

"Hey Jay, my mom wrote this." Tempest whispered into Jay Hawthorne's ear in the middle of class.

"Oh, wow! Your Tempest Odair? The daughter of the president? I had no idea." Jay said sarcastically.

This was their humor. They had the luck of stumbling upon one another when they began their twelve month study in the capitol and were inseparable ever since. It was odd that Tempest would just come back to the capitol at the end of the year for her final month of studies but she was making the most of it.

"If you two don't stop talking I'll have to separate you. Goodness Tempest your just like your parents when they were your age." The teacher shouted at the pair.

"You knew my parents?" Tempest asked in confusion.

"I was their teacher back in district 4. It's been a long time but if there was one thing I remember about them it's that they were always kissing one another in the back of my class." The teacher spoke as all the students giggled.

"Really?" Tempest asked in an embarrassed tone as she hid her face.

"She was the only girl he ever saw."
