Ethan was walking with Alabaster and Chris to the dining pavilion, contemplating what he had overheard the night before. All he knew was that Luke and Al were waiting on a girl.
He was mentally making a list of girls at camp when he heard a shout from up ahead. "CHAR!!" he heard Luke scream. Slowly turning his head his two eyes took in the gambler herself.
Charlotte looked good. After spending 5 weeks in juvie you would expect her to look hungry, with shifty eyes and bruises from fighting. That however wasn't the case. Charlotte seemed to be glowing. Her skin had a healthy glow to it, with few pimples in sight. The biggest change was her now shoulder-length hair, which now had two blond parts.
As for clothes she was in a pair of sage green pants, a camp half-blood top that had a chest plate strapped over it and the neatest combat boots Ethan had ever seen.
She made Ethan feel self-conscious he couldn't help but notice the old camp top he was wearing and his pyjama bottoms because the Stolls had blown up his one pair of shorts.
He realised just then that she was walking right up to himself and Al, Chris having gone to eat breakfast.
"Heya Al. Ethan." He had barely registered what she was saying when he spoke up. "How'd you do it?" He questioned, all of a sudden her pleasant face fell and she asked "Do what, Ethan?" Her tone was sharp like a dagger that stabs you on the back. Ethan couldn't help but wish he was back in his dream. Slowly dying instead of facing Charlotte. He could see her fingers inching towards her twin knives.
This is it, Ethan realised. He dies because he can't talk to a pretty girl and only ends up making her pissed at him.
A/N
So Ethan can't talk when he's around Charlotte. I'm putting a lot of easter eggs into this do let me know if you can get them and as always criticism is wanted.
