Now that Percy Jackson had been claimed as the son of Poseidon, things had changed around camp.
Firstly he got private lessons with Luke and Annabeth, then he got a cabin. Percy getting a cabin was a sore spot between Charlotte and Ethan. So one night the two of them snuck out of the cabin and left a newspaper about his dead mom on his doorstep.
Luke had told Charlotte his plans and while he was digging his old quest stuff she was researching cruise ships online.
'Planning a cruise, lots?' Charlotte turned around and saw Ethan her face instantly brightening. 'Lots? We're doing nicknames now?' If Charlotte was being honest the nickname made her heart flutter but she was not an honest person and she only said it to distract him from the cruise.
Turning around to face Ethan she took in the usual black clothes he wore 'You should wear less black' and he responded with 'You should breathe less air'. Just as she started laughing she noticed Luke at the door with a pair of run-down converses in his hand.
Here comes stage one of the palm she thought as she said her goodbyes to Ethan. As Luke and Charlotte walked to the edge of the woods they were met by Alabaster.
By the time they had reached a juniper tree, Luke had pressed something which formed a hole in the ground there the three of them walked.
Once down there Charlotte and Luke took watch as Alabaster started chanting. Charlotte knew the language he was speaking in was the old tongue of the Titans, the language of chaos and Tartarus, the language of Kronos and Hecate's mother tongue.
By the time the chanting stopped the shoes looked completely normal except for and oddly shaped sickled stain that hadn't been there when Alabaster had started.
Now the rise of Kronos was truly beginning, and once Percy played his part they would help the titan Lord rise from the depths of Tartarus destroying everything in his path.

OK so sorry for not updating in a while I've just been super busy.
We're really getting into the action now with loads of hints to the books.
