The Wife Of the Great Dog Demon (Sesshomaru)

Chapter Forty-Nine

"So what will it be Sesshomaru? Should I kill her and your unborn child? Or will you let me walk away with both of them alive?" Kagura asked with a wicked smile on her face.

The plan was set into motion, Kagura was putting on an act as she held Yumi close to her and her fan was close to her throat. Sesshomaru was motionless having a mixture of emotions with his sword held tightly in his palm.

"Sesshomaru! Help!" Yumi called out as she struggled to get out of Kagura's hold.

Suddenly before Sesshomaru could try and strike an evil laughter was heard causing Kagura's skin to crawl and Yumi to gasp. He wasn't part of the plan.

The trio looked up to see Naraku inside his barrier holding Kagura's heart.

"NARAKU!" She screamed out as he scanned the situation ahead.

"Excellent work Kagura, for a moment I thought I had to squeeze the very life you hold dear to you, but I see that Yumi is in your possession, bring her to me," he demanded as Kagura's eyes met Sesshomaru's who was growling.

Wasn't much he could do with Naraku here he didn't want his unborn child or his wife harmed. Kagura smiled before dragging Yumi over to Naraku smirking.

"These fools thought they could come up with a plan," she said as Naraku lowered himself down and undid the barrier he created as his feet touched the grass.

"Kagura what are you-"

"Silence fool!" She yelled out causing her eyes to grow wide.

"What sort of plan?"

"These two decided to try and have me stage a kidnapping that looked real then Sesshomaru was going to bust through undetected and try to find my heart to free me from you, but what they didn't know was I'm not following through with that plan instead I was going to redeem myself by bringing you to her and killing Sesshomaru bringing you his head as well,"

"So you betrayed us?" Yumi asked as she practically through her on the ground but she landed on her side.

"We tried to save you! Your nothing but a traitor!" Yumi yelled before being picked up by Naraku.

"So you are with child?" Naraku asked looking down at her belly as a wicked smile appeared on his face.

This was when Sesshomaru had enough as he flew towards them and cut off the arm that Naraku was holding Yumi on. He grabbed her before moving back to his previous spot as he moved her behind him in protection. Naraku's arm already growing back.

"Lay a hand on her again and I will kill you," he growled as Naraku laughed.

"For now I shall leave her be after all she is with child," he said smiling looking at her.

"Naraku, what's up your sleeve about our child?" Sesshomaru asked his face hardening.

Naraku only laughed as him and Kagura went up in a barrier.

"Only time will tell," he laughed before the two disappeared as Kagura had a look of sorrow on her face as she stared at Yumi in regret.

"Lord Sesshomaru! Lady Yumi!" Both Rin and Jaken yelled once they reached Sesshomaru's group.

Rin has went to hug Yumi but noticed the glum look on her face. She could tell she wasn't in the mood as her bangs covered her eyes.

She couldn't believe that Kagura had betrayed her for the sake of Naraku, everything was planned out but Naraku showing up wasn't part of it and she goes to betray her.

Not only that, it seems Naraku took a liking at her being pregnant and now both her and Sesshomaru has to protect the baby no matter the cost.

"Lady Yumi?" Rin asked quietly.

No response and it worried Sesshomaru even Inuyasha as his group cocked their heads to the side. Sesshomaru sighed.

"Well what happened?" Inuyasha asked impatiently. "Did you save Kagura?"

"She was nothing more than a traitor, Naraku was there and now he might be after our child it's the only reason why he let Yumi go,"

"What? Naraku was there?!"

"Why would he want your child?" Miroku asked trying to put the pieces together.

"I shall be the one to kill Naraku once and for all, and to protect our child, Yumi, Rin, Jaken let's go," Sesshomaru said turning away as he walked off, however he stopped noticing his wife isn't following.

"Yumi?" Sesshomaru called from a distance as she turned and Sesshomaru eyes widended as tears fell from them.

"Coming," she croaked out walking towards them upset about Kagura's traitorous nature.
