As a Joker, we do tend to serve humans only if humans can and are able to give us power. I was hoping to get those two to help me, but I guess I'll just settle for her. What could go wrong? Keke!
"What are you laughing about?"
"Nothing. Keke kek. Let me serve you, and if you prove to be the daughter of light, I get to kill you. And if not, then you and I can be best friends. Hmmm, do you like that idea?"Flos was stunned; her nerves were fried, and she had waited over thirty minutes for that damnable receptionist. It shouldn't take long to fill and add me to her system; Flos was officially done with this day. 'F......ck this sh!t!!!' Flo's screamed internally.
"Deal! But don't you know I have no powers, and even while you were shapeshifted into another ghost, you pointed that flaw out. And what if Light's daughter didn't have any abilities? Would you still kill me?" Flos asked desperately. "I'm not going to lie; I feel sorry for you and your brothers, knowing nothing, thinking you're own mother loved you guys. At least your father was honest with you. Didn't it always feel like he hated you? The oldest knows, yet he's blocked it from his mind. He tends to get your mother and Mother Darkness confused..." He would say more but stopped himself; he just hit several nerves, and he knew it too.
'He looked me straight in the eyes while saying all the crap. What does he know any ways?' Flos was confused and upset; 'what did he mean by all that? Their mother was the one who raised them and watched over them... Right? But Aunty also showed a wave of short anger toward her mother; I just ignored it, thinking there was nothing to worry about. What if I'm missing something, and maybe that thing will find its way into my life someday? This guy knew how to hit some vital spots; I already doubted my mother, and this did not help with that doubt.'
" Sooo, how did I complete this so-called deal? And who is Mother Darkness?" Flos asked while she sat down.
"Just give me a name and say you agree to my terms, then we shake hands, and bam wham, thank you, ma'am, it's done. And where do you hear such a ridiculous name like Mother Darkness?" he cooed
"Okay..."
"But hurry up; that receptionist is returning, and I can't stall her forever."
" Well, don't interrupt me, and I can." Now I know why it was taking her forever—Flos thought.
"Just hurry up."
" I shall call you Larua*, and I, as a result, agree to your terms."
" That's so dumb and not very creative. You hurt my feelings with a weak name like that."
"You deserve it for blowing me off." Flos said, annoyed.Flos shook Larua's hand and felt a burst of heat shoot through her hand. She looked down at her arm and saw it glowing an orange-ish red. She saw a small Celtic knot of some sort appear around her wrist. Then slowly fade away. "It's not one of those; never compared my mark to something silly like that."
" And what am I thinking it is?" Flos asked. "Never forget that you and I are now connected through this Mark, and it will allow us to communicate with one another through our minds." Larau replied; he seemed much colder than he had been a few seconds ago. "So the answer is you heard it from my mind then." Flos replied. He just smirked and vanished on her. "Jerk!" scoffed Flos.Flos's mark.
