"EYE OF THE STORM"

Y/N

~Ψ~

You felt like you had been thrown into a pool of ice-cold water; slapped by the Antarctic Ocean itself.  Parts of your dream came rushing back to you, like a movie on full display, but with a catch. The movie was muted.

You saw yourself, Piper, and Jason dangling from a metal dragon. Everyone looked miserable, but you were more surprised that this wasn't a dream of you getting lightning struck out of the sky by your favorite uncle.

Suddenly, the scene shifted, and what seemed to be Life-Altering Movie Part 2, left a dreadful feeling in your stomach. You weren't struck by lightning, but you sure as hell were struck by shock.

It was the beach with Hera, and this time it was unmuted. The entire conversation came back to you, everything about it was. . .unnatural.

You wake up laying on Percy's bed, gasping for breath. Staring up at the blue ceiling, the tears started to form in your eyes.

You were tired. You were so tired. These games the gods were playing were becoming too much. Thanks to them, you hadn't seen your mom in person for years. You'd missed so many birthdays, Christmas's, everything. And now you find out that Hera took your brother?? It felt like the whole world had just shattered. And worst of all, you had let her. But why? Why the hell would you ever let this happen.

You were having a mental breakdown of too much information. It was like watching Fox News, or really any politically swayed news channel.

You couldn't believe it. Percy's missing, there was a threat worse than the Titans on the way, somehow the three new arrivals and you were all connected. You didn't even want to start thinking about this whole Cabin Fifteen thing. But the cherry on top of this misery? Hera had talked to you like you were an old friend. Like she needed your permission to take Percy.

And you had given it.

You had given it.

You had given it.

Dream or not, you had practically sold your brother to the goddess, and there was no way to know what was happening to him right now. He could be dead for all you knew.

Your thoughts began to consume you, it was this desperate train wreck of, my fault, my fault, my fault. You needed something, anything to get yourself under control.

Water.

Water would help, right? It helped with your physical wounds, but you didn't know what it would do to prevent an anxiety attack. You rushed to the fountain and started splashing water on your face. You'd suffered from anxiety attacks twice before, once when you learned of you camp imprisonment, the second after Percy's disappearance.

This thought process of your past attacks only led you deeper down the road of stressed thoughts. Before you knew it, you had gotten lost in your thoughts.

It was all your fault.

Your hands gripped the fountain, the deep breaths that were meant to calm you became too shallow, too fast.

Percy could be dead because of you.

"No, Percy's fine," you whispered, your eyes glued shut. Still gripping the fountain, you tried to focus on the rushing water. The water that had always calmed you before.

A threat worse than the Titan's.

The calming fountain water started to get faster and faster, until it became a hurricane, and you were standing in the middle of it. You couldn't think, you couldn't breathe, the water felt suffocating.
