LEO

"Yeah, where are my home dawgs? Shouldn't they be giving me the VIP tour?" Leo questioned.
"He can't, " Y/n sighed. "You'll see why." She forged ahead before Leo could ask anything else.
"Curses and death," Leo said to himself, his tone far from enthusiastic. "This just keeps getting better and better."
Leo caught up with Y/n, and the two of them continued their walk to his cabin. They were halfway across the green when he spotted his old babysitter. Tia Callida-Auntie Callida. And she was not the kind of person he expected to see at a demigod camp.
Leo froze in his tracks.
Y/n noticed his sudden reaction. She turned around and looked at him. "Uh, Leo?"
Leo, hadn't seen this woman since he was five years old. She was just standing there, in the shadow of a big white cabin at the end of the green, watching him. She looked just as Leo remembered her, ancient.
Leo gulped, still staring at her, he managed to speak. "That old lady. . ." Leo said, his tone cautious. "What's she doing here?"
Y/n followed his gaze. She looked right at cabin, and there was no old lady. Weird.
Y/n glanced back at Leo, she carefully studied his face. "What old lady?" She asked.
Leo furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean, what old lady?? The one in the black. How many old ladies do you see over there??" He gestured wildly in the big white cabins direction.
Still studying Leo's face, Y/n narrowed her eyes. "You don't look like you're going crazy."
"Well gee, thanks. That makes me feel so much better."
"So you're saying you can see this old lady, but no one else can?" She asked.
"I know it sounds crazy, but I swear-" Leo looked back at the big white cabin, Tia Callida was gone. He was sure she'd been there, almost as if thinking about his mom had summoned Callida back from the past.
And that wasn't good, because Tia Callida had tried to kill him.
"Let's head straight to your Cabin." Y/n suggested.
"Yeah, sure, I'm in the mood for a good curse." He replied sarcastically. Leo tried not to think about it because what worried him more than Callida showing up was the way Y/n looked at him-as if she was looking at a dead man walking.

Leo got the full tour of Cabin Nine, which was fun until he learned he was going to be sleeping in a dead guys bed.
"How did he die?" Leo asked as they were walking to the forge. "I mean, Beckendorf."
Y/n trudged ahead. Man, this girl walks fast, Leo thought as he struggled to keep up with her.
"Explosion. Beckendorf and my brother Percy Jackson blew up a cruise ship full of monsters. Beckendorf didn't make it out." She explained, her voice solemn.
Leo nodded in understanding. "So Beckendorf was pretty popular? I mean-before he blew up." He winced at his poor phrasing, hoping it wasn't too offensive.
"He was cool." Y/n agreed. "It was hard on the whole camp when he died. Jake-he became head counselor in the middle of the war. Same as Will Solace-the angry ball of sunshine with a bow?" She explained after seeing Leo's confusion.
