Iris wasn't nervous when she got here, but now that she was sitting in front of Harry in a secluded cafe area. She felt anxious as hell, and she thought she was ready to face him and the charming smile she had always loved. But now, that smile isn't the one that was once recognized, loved, or missed. Iris could tell he was as nervous as she was since he hadn't said a word since they entered the cafe and ordered their meals.

Iris glanced up as she was drinking her iced vanilla latte. Harry spoke his first word this entire time, "So, how have you been?"

"I've been fun, been occupying myself with stuff to forget about what happened," said Iris as she continued to sip her latte. Harry stayed quiet while drinking his coffee, not knowing what to say to that comment. Maybe she was a bit harsh, but she was still hurt, and she had yet to heal fully.

"Okay, Iris, maybe I messed up, but it wasn't intentional. I swear it was a drunken mistake, and I know that doesn't make it better. I want things to go back to normal, even if it means that we start as friends again. I want you back in my life," said Harry

"I'm not sure, Harry," said Iris as she was conflicted with what her brain was telling her to do and what her heart wanted. Even though he had hurt her, some part of her heart still yearned for him and his attention. Maybe it was the hopeless romantic part of her.

"If it means proving it to you, I'll do anything to be your friend and have you as a part of my life. I miss your presence, Iris."

"Okay, we can be friends again, but just friends," said Iris, not knowing that wouldn't age well in the future.

"That's fine as long as I have my friend back in my life," said Harry with a sigh of relief.
