Chapter Thirteen

He felt his throat move from a swallow by the side. Ayato takes a deep breath with his lips parted, he moves away from Thoma's shoulder. He stares back at him softly, he slides out his hands from Thoma's waist which makes Thoma exhale. Ayato holds his arms, he says, "You're ill."

"I'm sorry, my Lord. I wasn't thinking well." Thoma sighs and looks away, he caresses his nape.

Ayato moves his hands to Thoma's cheeks, turns his head to his way and he caresses him with his thumb. They couldn't see each other clearly as the light that the lamp had wasn't enough for them, but Thoma thought it was for the best; because he was sure he wouldn't be able to take all this if he could see the young Master visibly.

"I wish that you have considered the repercussions of your actions."

He pushes his hands away and looks down, "I'm sorry."

Ayato's forehead creases, "Your well-being is important to me, Thoma. Consider yourself."

Thoma could feel himself rampaging again. He pulls away from Ayato and lays himself on the futon — he doesn't say anything else, he was already apologetic. He glances at the young Master who was sitting by his side, the light glowing on him. He watches him slowly stand up and fix his clothes.

"Stay here, please don't wander off again like before." Ayato sighs and he walks out of the place right away, leaving Thoma still processing what had just happened. He closes his eyes shut when he hears Ayato close the entrance.

He stills himself in the dark. Ayato was right, he was unwell — certainly from the liquor that he now regrets drinking. He asks himself why he did that so repulsively but he knows the reason deep in him, but he reminds himself now that he shouldn't think of it as much as before — especially after that kiss.

He was certain that it meant something, unlike the first one. Thoma had always brushed it off with the thought of Ayato just being completely inebriated and impulsive in his actions, however, this time was different. Undeniably, Ayato had done it in the right mind.

"Therefore, it meant something." Thoma whispers to himself and seconds later, he loses himself to sleep.
