Have A Little Hope [TMR Minho Fanfiction]

7. The Attack

I hear a twig snap behind me. Probably just an animal, but I have never seen any except in the farms. Should I check? I decide it's probably Minho behind me trying to scare me. Well if he is he's doing good because it's night and I'm in the middle of the woods.

I get up and look behind the tree I was leaning on. No ones there.. but I'm sure I heard someone. Then another twig snaps behind me.

"Minho, nice tr-" I turn around but it's not Minho. It's Ben. "hey Ben, why are you here so late?" I ask.

But his face is really pale, and there's dark circles around his eyes and he is breathing really heavily, something's wrong with him. His fists are clenched in a tight ball, and I can see his vain popping out.

"Ben, are you feeling okay?" I ask. but he doesn't reply.

Then out of nowhere he hisses "You!" Then he lunges toward me, grabbing my neck. He lifts my body up, by my neck and pushes me against the tree.

"You, you! It's because of you!" He practically spits on my face. I let out a scream and he drops me. My neck feels like it's burning. I try to crawl away, and get onto my knees. But he just kicked me down. He knelt down beside me and flipped me around. I think I landed on a rock and my back really hurts now.

"Time for revenge" he whispers into my ear, then punches me in the face. The pain spread my entire face. He punched again, and this time I think he broke my nose. I kick him and he falls off of me.

This is it. This is my chance to run. I get up, but fall again. My legs are too wobbly and keep giving up. But I soon get the strength to get up, and when k do Ben is right behind.

He grabbed something from the ground and hit me on the back of my head. The pain was too sore, so I just fell. I turned onto my back and saw blood on the ground from my head and nose.

He came over and towered above me.
"It has to happen" he whispers. His eyes, they look mad, like he's gone insane. And I'm sure he has, what did I do? And why was it revenge?

He kicked me in the stomach and again and again, and after a while my body just went numb, like I couldn't do anything.

The last thing I see is Alby, Minho, Newt and everyone else coming out of the gathering. Minho ran over to ben, pushed him off of me and I pretty sure he was punching him.

Then everything went black.
