6. The Gathering

I've tried doing all of the jobs, but I'm pretty much bad at all of them except being a Med-jack. I learned all the basics but Alby and Newt is going to have a meeting about what I'm going to be.

Minho is back running and it's getting really boring being by myself, since he's the only one I trust.

I'm on the tree house thing when Newt comes up to talk to me.

"Hey, Skyler"

"Hey, any news when the meeting is going to be?" I ask. I really hope I get to be a Med-jack.

"Yeah, actually. Tonight when the doors close" he smiles "I'm pretty sure your going to make it as I Med-jack"

It's almost time for the doors to close, so I'm waiting by them for Minho. As soon as I see him I stand up and he runs and grabs me into a bear hug. "Awhhh Minho! You never told me you had a girlfriend" Ben, his running partner says as he runs by.

"Shut up, shuck face" Minho yelled. "I have to go to the map room, see you in a while" he kisses me on the cheek and then runs to a concrete shed with a iron door.

I decide to go up to my room, since there's nothing else to do. Might aswell go asleep...

"Skyler, wake up, time for the gathering" It's newt.

I get up, stretch and walk out. Did I seriously fall asleep with my shoes on?
How tired was I..

"You will be waiting outside, your not allowed in while we're discussing about you" Newt says breaking the silence.

That's stupid. They're talking about me but won't let me be there.

Minho jogs up behind me and lifts me up. "Hey, beautiful"

I smile. "hey handsome" I laugh and he puts me back down. He leans in closer while we're talking and whispers something into my ear "You are definitely going to be a Med-jack"

I smile and grab his hand, and we walk to the gathering together. When we get there, I was told to sit by a tree and wait. How long will they be? I hope not too long...
