Alexa can't sleep anymore, she really can't forget what Samuel said to her. Gives a headache now.

The clock struck 1am, she gave up on any hope of getting a good night's sleep, she was sure she couldn't do it. Back to the fact that Samuel had also warned her not to take his sleeping pills anymore, unless it was really an emergency. So she did instead grab his sketchbook along with his stationery, heading downstairs to make herself a coffee.

When she reached the bottom, the living room was empty. Yes she knows they are sleeping, this is not a fictional story like twilight.

She put the things she brought on the marble table, she connected his Wireless earphones and entered his favorite one Direction song playlist. Yes, she's one of the thousands of souls who love boy bands that have been on hiatus for.. Yeah, you know.

She walked into the kitchen, checked the cupboards for coffee grounds. At least he found it, the brand she knew was quite high. She poured hot water into a cauldron and sat down on one of the chairs at the table. At least she got some normal composure.

As she poured his fourth liquid Alexa looked up because she heard footsteps, it was Elijah.

"Do you always wear a suit?" Ask Alexa

She had turned off the playback of the song, removing the earphones from his ears. Elijah chuckled.

"Well, I guess it's not a crime to look presentable" he replied.

"I don't think I know how to answer that" Alexa said

Elijah walked to the opposite side, sat down on the counter opposite Alexa's.

"I must say you are talented" Elijah said

He was checking out a sketch Alexa was working on. It was Alexa's cousin, Samuel. He always has a strong memory in remembering people's faces.

"Thanks" Alexa said.

He bowed slightly. Elijah's lips twitched, his eyes continuing to skim the pages of the sketchbook. He thought of his brother Klaus. He hoped his brother would let go of the grudge he held against Finn, because Alexa was just an innocent 16 year old girl. She didn't even know who she was until Abby told her.

His mind drifted to the events of the previous afternoon. He glanced at Alexa.

"I apologize on behalf of my brother. It was a bit rude that he raised his voice at you like that" Elijah said.

"Yes I know, but if his actions were so wrong, shouldn't he be apologizing to me?" Alexa asked in a flat tone

Elijah opened his mouth to say something but she cut him off.

"Listen dude, I get it. I mean if someone in your family gets hurt it's only natural to worry about them. I would do the same too. I'm over it anyway" Alexa said

Elijah smiled and gave her a small nod. Alexa was practical and Elijah realized that. It's strange to see how different and similar she is to his family. Alexa is unpredictable which is something Elijah enjoys. It somehow reminded him of Henrik.

Centuries had passed, Elijah still missed his youngest sibling and being around Alexa became a certain kind of joy he didn't realize he could feel.

"So are you ready to practice?" Elijah asked

"Are you serious?" Ask Alexa

"Yeah" Elijah said

"Oh, I feel like I'm at the Academy again.." Alexa moaned

Elijah chuckled at her, he had heard from Vincent that the girl was used to being an archer, she and Alec were combo partners that couldn't be separated, even though they weren't parabatai.
