Sunoo's POV
I straight went to the office, I wanted to cry. but now I don't have any option left. I can't resign, because if I did, he will surely fire Jungwon. I started to do my work, but no one was speaking. How can they, when everyone is bothered?
After a few hours, Daniel came running to us, "Guys, Mr. Park from Lee Pvt. Ltd is here." He said everyone started to stand from their seats. soon I saw Jay Hyung with my boss and Mr. Seo.
"Hello everyone, meet Mr. Park Jay vice president of Lee Pvt. Ltd. He is here to inform you something," Mr. Jeon said,
"Hello, I know it was sudden for everyone, that's why I am here to clarify a few things as now we are going to be one business family."
"So, I want to make one thing clear, no one is going to get fired from this company, this company will work the same as before, but few people will be promoted to work in the main company means Lee Pvt. Ltd. and for this company, your new boss is already appointed. for now, Mr. Seo will tell you the names of people who will be promoted."
Everyone sighed in relief after hearing that no one was going to get fired from the job. After Jay Hyung, Mr. Seo came in front with a list in his hands, he told us that there are a total of 15 employees who will be promoted after reviewing their previous year's work and achievements. and from these 15 employees, 5 will directly work under CEO, Mr. Lee Heesung.
He started to take names one by one, and finally, he announced the names of 5 employees who were going to work under Heesung Hyung.
"The other 5 are, Mr. Dainel, Ms. Kim Se-Jeong, Ms. Karina, Mr. Choi Beomgyu and Mr. Kim Sunoo," Mr. Seo announced, and as he said my name, I looked at Jungwon, I don't want to stay away from him, he is like my younger brother, he also looked at me and smiled, but I can't smile. I feel bad. that when suddenly Mr. Seo again started to speak,
"We have one more announcement to make, Mr. Yang Jungwon please come forward," he said, and my heart stopped beating, is Heesung Hyung really going to fire him, suddenly Jay Hyung stood from his seat and came forward,
"Mr. Yang, after reviewing your work, I want to give you a special offer, would you like to work as my Personal assistant," Jay Hyung said making me shocked, I looked at Jungwon who was standing there like a statue,
"It completely depends on you," Jay Hyung added, everyone was looking at Jungwon waiting for his answer,
"Y-yes Mr. Park, thank you so much for your offer, I will do my best," he said bowing. I was so happy for Jungwon, after announcement Mr. Jeon went into his cabin with Jay Hyung and Mr. Seo,
"Hyung, I am so happy" Jungwon said hugging me, I also hugged him tightly. Daniel also joined us and hugged us tightly. we were busy in our talks when suddenly someone called my name,
"Sunoo," I looked up and it was Jay Hyung,
"M-Mr. Park," I said, both Jungwon and Daniel bowed to Jay Hyung,
"Don't call me so formally Sunoo, just call me like you used to," Jay Hyung said both Daniel and Jungwon looked at me, at the same time,
"Jay Hyung, how are you," I said, I can feel their eyes go wider, Jay Hyung smiled,
"I am good, can we talk," he asked me, I nodded my head and we both left, we both entered the empty meeting room, he started to talk first,
"How have you been Sunoo-ya," he asked me,
"Good," I answer shortly. not meeting his eyes, " Sunoo, are you feeling uncomfortable with me," Jay Hyung asked,
"No Hyung, I-it's just, I thought you must be angry or hate me now," I spoke.
"Who would ever hate you, I was never angry with you, nor do I hate you," he spoke softly, he continued "Sunoo, I wanted to talk about Heesung Hyung," he said making me frown,
"W-what about him?" I asked,
"Sunoo, I know that whatever happened 5 years ago there must have been some reason, but can you give Heesung one more chance, what I mean is let him stay near you, For the past 5 years I never saw him smiling, as his friend and your Hyung, I am asking your help," he said,
"I-I am sorry Hyung, but I can't promise that it's impossible for us, he and I are not meant to be, I already understood that 5 years ago," I said,
Jay sighed, "I understand, it's your decision, don't worry I am here for you, and I apologise on Heesung's behalf for today,"
"It's okay Hyung, you don't need to, it's between him and me, if we did something wrong, you don't need to apologize. and thank you Hyung for not hating me," I said, and Jay Hyung ruffled my hair smiling,
"No one can hate you Sunoo," he said, after talking for a few minutes we both left the room and Jay Hyung left for his office,
as soon as I reached back to my seat, both Jungwon and Daniel were looking at me, I sighed understanding what they want to ask, "If you want to know how I know him then, for your information, he was my senior in high school as well as college. after graduation he went States for further studies," I explained it to them,
"Wow, Hyung then you must be close to Lee Heesung too, I heard that they both are childhood friends," Daniel asked and my expression changed,
"I-I don't know him very well," I said trying not to shutter,
"Oh! okay," Daniel said, after a minute he left to do some paperwork,
"Hyung, you are okay right, you know you can tell me anything," Jungwon said placing his hands on mine,
"I-I am fine, Jungwon." I tried to lie but when I looked into Jungwon's eyes, I couldn't lie to him since Jungwon came to this company as an intern, we both became very close, we both tell every secret to each other, "Jungwon if I tell you something you won't tell anyone else," I said,
"Of course, Hyung you can believe me," Jungwon said smiling.
"Will you believe it if I say that Mr. Lee, means Lee Heesung and I used to date," I spoke.
"What?" he suddenly screamed, I hurriedly covered his face and took him to the rooftop,
"Why did you scream," I asked,
"What do you expect from me when you say something this shocking," he said and I just laughed at his cute face, after a minute I continued,
"It all started in high school,"
