The Final Node

When I was younger, I never wanted to leave this place. It was unreal. The Pizzaplex was massive and every time my birthday came around I'd count down the days until I could go back. It made me feel like I was in a different universe. I studied every single twist and turn from themed attraction to a tiny hallway leading to an unknown area. It was something I loved to do, to know where I was at. That's why right now I could tell you exactly where I was.

The party garage, farthest one to the left, but if your just entering Roxy's Raceway, you turn right and go down the staircase then it'll be on your left side along with the other row of garages. I knew I was close. Gregory told me he was in a sinkhole under the raceway. I was in the raceway, now I just need to get under the raceway.

The party garage was filled with dim lighting and the only thing I could hear after Gregory cut out was an old mechanical sound off in the distance. Not an animatronic or anything, but one that sounds like something heavy is hanging from the ceiling and about to fall at any second. I shivered, looking around the room. There was a table filled with each animatronic's stuffed animal. I walked closer, and noticed something was off. Each stuffed animal was in the same condition as the real animatronics were. The little Roxy stuffie had her big fabric eyes ripped to shreds off of her face, and her red rockstar outfit was torn and faded of it's color. Next to her was the Monty one. His legs and tail were pulled apart from his body, leaving him to lay face down on the table with his stolen body parts just inches away from him. Freddy was laying upright with his head ripped off from the rest of his body exposing stuffing from inside him. The middle of his torso where his bright blue lightning bolt used to be was worn and now hard to make out its design. The last stuffed animal on the table was Chica. She sat in an awkward position almost identical to how I had found her in the Glamrock Beauty Salon bathroom...and her beak was torn from her pale face.

Something about them made me uneasy. It couldn't be a coincidence for them to look like that. And it also couldn't be any more of a coincidence that the stuffed animal's stolen body parts were no where to be found, except for Monty's legs which I found in his catwalks. Something was so eerie about all of this.

The rest of the room just had broken furniture and a single crashed stroller. Wouldn't want to be that child. The only door that opened was the exit leading through the rest of the garages. I stepped towards it reaching for the handle when suddenly Gregory's words hit me. I was so caught up in the scary stuffed animals that I completely forgot. Roxy was the last node. He didn't really expect me to deactivate her did he? That doesn't make any sense. If she was the final node then why hasn't any of the other animatronics been deactivated and disguised as nodes before her? I couldn't do it, there had to be another way.

I didn't even know where Roxy was right now. She was here before, when trying to find Gregory, but the animatronics wander all over the Pizzaplex so who knows, she could be in the daycare theater for all I know. And what then? I guess I can't deactivate her anymore could I? I'll save Gregory myself, security node watching and attacking my every move or not. I made it this far already.

The second party garage I stepped into was more of a mess than the first. More fallen party chairs themed to look like Glamrock Freddy were throw around the room, tons of garbage bags for whatever reason, and temporary construction walls covering the back of the room. The next garage was one that held some of the race cars for the raceway. However now the cars were all jumbled together and there's no way they could work anymore. The checkered floor was a statement to the raceway, made it feel like you were in Nascar, only now it was rusted. I opened the next door, inside was a large blue cargo crate, filled with a few raceway radical barrels.

"RACEWAY RADICAL / great performance / high flammability"

Doesn't that sound perfect. Oh yeah and they were leaking all over the crate too as I walked through to the other side. Just like before I was led into another garage filled with the same checkered tile.  More race cars in terrible condition just like the last, except there was one near the back that was still smoking. It was the sun themed car.  That couldn't be possible because someone or something would have had to just crash the car here, moments ago, but no one was here and I didn't hear a thing. Other than that there were only metal racks of spray paint and gasoline. Nothing interesting or special.

To the left of the large garage door was an opening, it looked like just a normal doorway but the door was torn from the hinges and I was left with a cutout in the wall.

Wow I said I knew this place like the back of my hand but I don't remember there being this many garages. There were all nearly the same too, lots of space needed for the race cars I guess. I must've disabled a security node that prohibited the garages to open as they usually would. They're supposed to be motion activated but it wasn't happening today. The next garage had spiral metal racks, holding tool boxes and cardboard. This was the area where cars would get fixed and worked on, it was pretty common a race car needed a new wheel or paint job. Kids had no fear when it came to racing against your best friend feeling like it's life or death whether you win or lose. Myself included.

At the end of the garage was an arrow spray painted onto the cold wall pointing me through an opening to the right. It was small and I had to crouch down to get through, finally out of the seemingly never ending garages. I came out right below the escalator. There was a headless staff bot at the top of the escalator looking down at me, giving me a really uneasy feeling. It made me feel like I wasn't alone. I looked in front of me at the rest of the raceway as I was now on the other side from where I was after Roxy chased down Gregory and I had to run after her. There were cargo crates everywhere, some had gates in front as an attempt to close off a certain area that was in worse condition than another. Two port a potties sat to my left making me wonder if someone had been here either trying to clean the place up, or working on construction somewhere in the raceway. Whatever it was clearly didn't work out for them.

Gregory said he was underground somewhere in here so I just need to look around. It'll be okay.

It wasn't okay. Just as I started to walk deeper into the raceway I began to make out a strange screeching metal thud. My heart began to race. It sounded like whatever it was, was trying to escape something, like it was stuck.

Oh no no no..what if it's Freddy again? Or one of the other animatronics?!

I prayed Gregory would chime in, though that could make matters only worse if whatever that thing is heard me. The sound grew louder as I crept closer as quietly as possible. Turning the corner, I silently peered over the edge, struggling to breathe worried that my breath itself might make too much noise. When my vision focused, my heart froze once again. It wasn't fear, it was-so many different things. Roxy. Roxy was crushed under a forklift trying to get out form under its weight. She was still broken and wasn't strong enough to lift it off of herself. It was kind of heartbreaking. She was completely helpless and-

   Roxy is the final node.

I can't. She was my favorite. She is my favorite. My childhood. We're best friends. She is the only animatronic that hasn't tried to take my life away from me yet.

   Gregory.

Without deactivating Roxy, what would happen to Gregory. I needed him to be okay. To be safe. My thoughts were driving me crazy in my head, each arguing with the other. I looked over in Roxy's direction, watching her struggle as her energy faded. I took in a shaky breath, it was cut short, as I caught Roxy's eyes staring right back at mine.

   "Cassie.."
