Chapter [6]

Noah had walked me to my third period and the rest of the day went by fast, with nothing else exciting, except maybe a few dirty glares here and there. How did I go from a nobody to this?! All because of one blog post!?

At the end of school, I met up with No in our usual place up in a big tree, we had no idea what type of tree, because well… It’s a tree, and no ant’s crawled up and down it so it was the perfect tree to just sit in and be lazy until we felt like going home.

“Lise, what’d you get for number… one thru twenty.” He smirks sarcastically at me. “Do your work,” I tell him, then smile down at my paper. I was obviously going to let him cheat, I was already on number seventeen, so we could go to the pool sooner. I thought I needed a reminder of how Noah was just my best friend, and I’ve been having too many ‘more-than-friendly’ thoughts about him. It was just unnatural.

After Noah had copied my answers given me a thank you hug and his untrue “I owe you.” We jumped into Yoda and drove to his house. He had a bunch of my swim suits there so I just took one from the ‘Lisey drawer.’

It was a pure white bikini with a mini-mini skirt bottom, which should be called just some frill at the edges. The top piece had a metal hook in the back that hooked the bottom and top straps and showed just a bit of too much cleavage (But that’s just how all my swim suits were, it usually didn’t even phase Noah anymore).

We got out to the pool and Noah was in his white swim trunks with blue and green plaid strips that covered it. And his abs. God they were still as sexy as this morning, I defiantly hadn’t been imagining it. “Like what ya see?” Noah commented, noticing me staring.

Shit, it probably looked as if I’d been checking him out. “I gotta admit, your abs are blinding.” I smirked. He smiled proudly to himself. He walked over to me, I couldn’t help but notice how broad his shoulders had gotten and how muscular his arms were.

When he got next to me, I was terrified, I’d finally seen the deadly smirk on his face. “Noah. Don’t.” I put a finger to his chest-his rock hard chest–to keep some distance. But it wasn’t enough, in a blur he’d slid an arm under my legs, around my back and was carrying me like a baby in his arms.

I looked at his face, expecting to see it strained from my weight but he looked as calm and easy going like he’d just picked up a feather. He smiled his dimple smile at me. I wanted to freeze right there and just stay in his arms against his skin, and his rock hard abs. I wanted him to smile at me with his adoring eyes, and just let everything be.

But then-of course-Noah broke the moment and chucked my flailing body into the pool. “Noah!” I screamed right before my skin even had contact with the pool. I splashed in and it felt like hitting concrete. I closed my eyes when I was swallowed by the warm water. Summer was approaching. So the water, no matter what, felt good.

I kicked a few times while I was under water and flipped watching my bubbles come up and for a second it was peaceful. Before Noah jumped in, directly on top of me. “Noah!” I tried to scream before my throat was filled with water and I was gagging.

I pushed to the surface fast, having a mini heart attack. Once the water was out of my system I turned to look at Noah. He had the oddest face and was staring at me,
