A Denali and a Swan

The Wedding Day

I wake up and grab some clothes and get showered. I grab my old vans and shove them on my feet. I run downstairs and call Alice. "Hey Alice sorry it's early but do you know who I could get to cut my hair? I want to get a short haircut. "Oh you sure you want it cut short?" Alice checks. "Definitely. I'm tired of messing with it all the time. So you know someone?" "I'm pretty busy or I'd do it myself but Rose can cut it for you I'm sure. She says come over now and she'll cut it for you." Alice replies. "Ok cool thank you Alice and thank Rosalie for me please!" I go to the kitchen counter and get my keys. "I'm off to get my haircut Pops. I'll be back in a bit." "Ok be careful." Dad says. I get in the truck and get going to the Cullens house. Rosalie is waiting for me at the door. I follow her inside and she leads me to her bedroom that is nice then in her personal bathroom which is huge. "So what are we thinking of doing with your hair Ember?" "I'd like it all chopped off." I have black hair like Dad. I thought about dying it but think for now it's going to stay black. I pull out my phone and show her the picture of the hair style I'd like. It just seems to be the right fit for me. "That's short. You sure you want it that short? It takes a long time to grow back." Rosalie says. "Definitely sure." "Alright let's get started then. Rosalie puts a cape around me and starts using scissors to cut off my long black hair. Then she uses a buzz cutter set to finish around the edges. Once she's finished she says "All done. Looking sexy Swan." I blush and thank her. I offer to sweep the hair but she insists I get home to finish getting ready. So I thank her again and go home. On the way home I pass Bella. I wave and pull in the driveway. Dad does a double take when I get in the door. "Looking good Ember. A bit short but it's you." I thank him and go upstairs to my room and get dressed in my suit Alice purchased for me. With my new haircut and this suit...I look sexy. Who knows maybe I'll meet a girl. If only. It's been forever since I've had a girlfriend but being on tour I didn't really have the time. The occasional one night stand was nice but it'd be so cool to have someone to call my actual girlfriend. To connect with. Geez Swan you need to stop daydreaming and get to the Cullens for the wedding. I have to give bells her bracelet I got her. It's silver with blue diamonds. I grab my keys and jump in the truck. I carefully pull out of the drive and then gun it to get there faster. I fly in the drive and carefully park it next to Dads police cruiser. I then hop out with Bells bracelet and make my way into the house. "Where's Bella? I ask. "She's in my room getting ready come on up!" I hear Alice yell. I come up and the door is shut. "Is she decent? I don't want to see my sister naked." Alice opens the door rolling her eyes. "Yes she's decent but what's it matter? She's a girl. You're a girl. Same body parts." My eyes kinda bug out at what Alice said. Bella changes the subject quick. "What is in your hand Ember?" I hand her the box with the bracelet in it. She opens it and her eyes shine. "It's beautiful! Thank you Ember!" I help her put it on,"It's a beautiful bracelet but not as beautiful as you Bells! Love you lol sis!" We both try not to cry and hug each other. She whispers in my ear, "Looking good big sis! Nice haircut and suit!" We laugh as Mom comes in. "Oh my babies together again and all grown up! One's getting married! Im getting old. I'm going to cry!" We both hug her and Alice hands her a tissue. "True. You are getting old Renee." Dad comes in in a suit. "Dad be nice." I say and Bella says "Looking good Dad!" "Always am Bells. Here's something old and blue besides your mother." Dad hands her a hair clip. "It was your grandmothers and we're handing it to you and you can hand it to your daughter." Mom says. I hug Mom again and make my way out to the wooden log pews Alice had made as seats for us all. Not long after I sit down beside Phil does Mom come out and sit with us. I feel someone staring at me but I can't figure out who in this sea of people. I hear the wedding processional and see Dad walking Bella down the aisle. Edward only has eyes for Bella. Smiling they both go hand in hand to the pastor. Mr. Weber Bella had said was one of her high school friends father. As they begin their vowels, I notice that the blonde bombshell on Edward's side in a beautiful golden dress with beautiful gold eyes is staring at me intensely. I stare back. She is beautiful beyond words. I can't keep my eyes off of her and she doesn't take her eyes off of me. I can't focus on the wedding. Only on the beyond beautiful woman across from me. "You may kiss your bride." I hear and shake my self out of my stupor and watch Edward give a passionate kiss to Bella. Then they walk off for pictures. And we all clap for the newly married couple. We're all ushered to the tables set up in the back yard. Everything was perfect and sparkling. Alice did an excellent job planning this wedding. I'm mingling talking to Rosalie and Emmett when three very beautiful blonde women and a brunette woman and a brunette man walk up. "This is our cousins from Denali. Carmen and Eleazar Denali and Irina, Kate and Tanya Denali. Cousins, this is Sergeant Ember Mae Swan, Bella Cullen's sister." Rosalie introduces us. I can't stop staring at the beautiful woman named Tanya Denali. I blush when I realize I've stared too long. "It's so nice to meet you all. Tanya, I hope I can ask for a dance later?" " I would be disappointed if you did not ask. Yes I'd love to dance with you Ember." I smile at the cousins and say "If you'll excuse me I must speak to a family friend." They all say "yes of course" and I limp my way to visit with Billy, Sue and Seth who are here too. "It's so good to see you all" I say and notice right away that Irina is glaring at poor Seth. I step in front of Seth and put my back to Irina and ask "How are you Seth? How's Leah? I heard Sam and Leah broke up! And I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. He was a good man. "Leah is coping as best as she can. Loosing Dad was the hardest. But seeing Sam with our cousin hurts Leah. But she's tough she'll make it through. I'm doing ok. Miss dad a lot but that's expected. How are you? I heard you got shot several times? Are you all healed?" "Im healed up but will always have trouble with my knee. I was shot in the knee cap and they had to replace the knee cap entirely. I had to do intense physical therapy and still will have a limp but I'm alive so that is all that matters. Billy, where's Jacob? Haven't seen him around since I was visiting right before I had to go to army boot camp." "He's not much for weddings. Im sure if you stick around you will see him." "Sue I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. Harry was a good man." I had to deliver my condolences. "Thank you Ember. Harry loved fishing with you kids over the years." "I did too. I will miss not having him there to help me unhook the fish." I excused myself when I realized speeches were starting. I listened to Dad threaten Edward over the mic and I listened to Mom singing our childhood lullaby I had to restrain myself when some dumb teenager named Jess droned on about her jealousy towards Bella. She was pissing me off. Emmett had to make some dumb sexual joke about Bella never sleeping again. Just eww! Thank goodness Esme's speech was sweet. Now it's my turn. I grab the guitar I borrowed from Jasper. And went on stage. "I'm going to sing a song for Edward and Bella. Thank you Jasper for letting me borrow your guitar. Ok. Here it goes." I strum the guitar carefully and sing:
