The wolves agree to witness for us. They're ready to fight if needed. A nomad named Garrett shows up and allows Renesmee to show him our story through her gift. "Amazing talent you have!" Garrett says. He ruffles my sons hair and goes to ruffle Ashlyn's hair and she moves away from him while turning the ground under his feet to ice making him slip and fall. "Another talented one! I'll bet you have your hands full!" He says to Bella and I. We laugh and nod "Definitely." The Amazonian coven showed up saying Alice and Jasper sent them. Zafrina, Senna, and Kachiri vowel to witness for us when they seen our story through Renesmees gift. Peter and Charlotte also have come to witness for us. Jasper called Peter and asked him to travel up here for us. The Egyptian coven as well came. I like Benjamin the best. He's got a nice sense of humor and can control the elements, including fire like me but not to the extent I can. His mate Tia is nice but quiet. Then there's Amun and his mate Kebi. Kebi is nice enough but Amun acts high and mighty and does not act as if he wants to be here. There's Alistair as well. He hides in the attic. He doesn't seem to really want to be here either. The Irish coven are nice enough. There's good friends with Carlisle. Siobhan supposedly can use her will power to change how situations happen. Her mate is Liam. And then there's Maggie who can sense when you're lying. Zafrina shows off her gift to Edward and Bella. We'll go Edward anyways. "If I wasn't holding your hand I'd think I'm in this gorgeous rainforest by myself." "What rainforest? I can't see anything?" Bella says. "You didn't tell me your wife is a shield Edward!" Zafrina says. Kate runs up and zaps Bella. Bella acts as if she didn't feel a thing! "That should have put you on your ass! You're definitely a shield!" "Maybe the voltage is exaggerated?" Garrett teases Kate. "Why don't you find out?" Kate holds her hand out for Garrett to touch. "I wouldn't if I were you!" Edward and I both warn him. He touches her hand and falls to his knees. "You're one amazing woman!" Garrett says. They look at each other with loving eyes. Good for Kate. Glad she's found her mate. "How come you didn't mention Bella's shield ability Eleazar? Can't you tell what gifts vampires have?" I wonder. "I thought she already knew. That's why Edward can't read her mind. It's an amazing gift to have." He says. "If only it could help us somehow." Bella grumbles. "If you practiced to project it to protect us from the other gifts in Volterra that'd be helpful. I practiced to electrocute through my whole body not just my hand." Kate says. Bella grabs Kate's hand and demands,"Show me!" "Ow!" Kate rubs her hand. "Strong much, control that newborn strength girl!" "Sorry" Bella apologizes. Then they begin practicing projecting her shield by using Edward as a Guinea pig. He keeps getting shocked and it's hilarious! "I think it's Embers turn!" Edward says. I chuckle and say, "If we want kate in one piece we'd better not use me as a Guinea pig. Tanya does not like it when kate shocks me. "I think we should try Renesmee. That might get better results." Kate says. "Are you insane? Don't touch my daughter!" Kate shocks Edward again but this time it's bearable for him. "It's working! It only hurt a bit." Edward says. Just then we hear howling and growling coming our way. Two vampires zoom through and jump on top of a giant boulder. "Can't reach us now can ya puppies?" The white haired one says. Carlisle walks up, "Vladimir and Stefan. You're a long way from home. What brings you here?" "We heard you are bringing a fight to the Voltori! And wish to join you." "We are said to have committed a crime we did not commit. We're just gathering witnesses to attest that we did not do what we are blamed for." Carlisle explains. "We do not care what you have done. We want vengeance. And will witness it. Just know that the Voltori bring witnesses of their own and their wives." Everyone gasps.
"I chose not to see it. They did it so rarely I never thought about it. Aro will gather witnesses to back him up when he decides a coven has "broken" a law and must be punished for it. There's usually one or two survivors he allows to live. They would have a gift." Eleazar says. "This is all about Alice. He doesn't have anyone like her. He wants her to join him." Edward states. "Benjamin let's go we're leaving!" Amun announces. "And where would you go? Carlisle won't ask you to fight but I will! If not just for my family but for yourselves as well! What's to say Aro wants Benjamin next? Or Maggie?" Edward replies. "The wolves will fight." Jacob and Sam announce. Kate, Carmen and Eleazar stand and insist that they'll fight. "I'll fight. Not the first time I've fought a kings rule!" Garrett stands. Everyone stands but Amun. "Let us leave Benjamin!" "No Amun! I will fight and do the right thing!" Benjamin stands and crosses his arms. I stand of course, "I'll fight to keep my family safe!" The next few days we all practice combat in the backyard. Bella and I slip over to Dads with the kids. He agrees to watch them while we go do errands. I know Bella is hiding something but what I don't know. On our way to do errands I say "I know you're hiding something. Just know I have your back. Now can you drop me off at the mall while you do your errands? I have a few Christmas presents to get for my niece and children." She nods and pulls into the mall parking lot. I hop out and go get some Christmas presents for the kids and my family. I get Tanya and white gold diamond infinity necklace for Christmas. I then got her a white gold Gwen Solitaire Lab Diamond Engagement Ring. It took up most of my savings, $27000 but it'll be well worth it to see her face when I propose after this shit show is over. Bella calls and asks if I'm done shopping and comes and picks me up. We go back and pick the kids up with the promise of coming the next day to celebrate Christmas. We go home and I sneak in our room and wrap my presents quickly and go to Emmett's room and hide the engagement ring in Emmetts boxer drawer with his permission of course. The next day Bella, Edward, Renesmee, Tanya, me and the twins go to Dads house for Christmas. We exchange gifts and pretend to eat a Christmas dinner. The kids had a blast. The kids liked their toys I got them, Sue liked the Macys gift card we gave her. Dad liked the fishing trip he got to go away specifically this week. Away while the Voltori visit. Leah Jacob and Seth liked the American Eagle gift cards we gave them for more clothes since they're constantly ripping theirs. And Bella and Edward enjoyed getting the photo album we made from their wedding. Of course Tanya loved her necklace and insisted we put it on right away. I'm so glad I got to spend Christmas at home this year instead of oversees. I can't help but think about Ashton. I haven't spoken to him since before I was turned. It's good I distanced myself so he can move on without me. I hope he's safe over there. Tanya sits on my lap and kisses me. Taking me away from my thoughts. I stop thinking deeply and just enjoy the moment.
It starts snowing the next day. Before Alice left she said that it would snow the first snow of the year and that the Voltori would arrive in the field that the Cullen's like to play baseball in. It's time to meet them. Let's see what the fuss is all about.
