Inyra and Johanese are led to the training ground by one of the Butlers

While Kailua observed from far away but close enough to see

Johanesse drew his blade and prepared to attack,

In Inyra's point of view,

He could see all his possible routes of attacks. It was this red-rope thing that showed him all the attack routes.

So, of course, Inyra easily dodged all these attacks, which surprised Johanese.

Johanese smirks as he tightly gripped his blade. He thought Inyra had no battle experience whatsoever

He (Johanese) binded his elemental magic into his sword

And he snuck up behind Inyra using his quick reflexes,

Inyra barely dodged and was slightly injured by Johanese' blade.

While Johanese was binding his Elemental magic and sword together, Inyra used the time to summon a small bolt of lightning in his hand.

He was able to control and manipulate the bolt of lighting to his will,

While Johanese' guard was slightly dropped, Inyra used the opportunity to attack,

He is able to create a bolt of lighting behind Johanese and engulfs the lightning around him,

Kailua, who was spectatating, was intrigued by Inyra's talent in the battlefield, especially when Inyra hadn't even used a sword once.

Johanese was dumb founded by the fact he's practically paralyzed and can't move as he is trapped in this electric bubble thing.

And while he is in the electric bubble thing, he feels like his stamina is draining little by little.

He admits defeat, and Inyra releases him
Desiree, who was watching from afar.

"He has such strong elemental magic, and he is in love with me! He'd be very beneficial."

Desiree thinks to herself as she smirked to herself.

She puts on a smile and walks over to Inyra with a towel she took from one of the servants and ran to Inyra.

"Inyra! You did so well!" *She said as she ran over to the Inyra that was regaining his stamina

She stands in front of him with a towel in her hand

But to her surprise, he just walked past her as if she wasn't there in the first place.

She was absolutely astonished and angered at the same time.

She clenched her fist in frustration. She had never been ignored before.

And the salt to wound part is that it'd from the same person who did everything for her.

"Maybe he didn't see me," *She thinks to herself as she runs towards Inyra, who is drinking water at the moment

"You did great!" Desiree says with a smile plastered on her face

She hands Inyra the towel, and he just looks her up and down before saying, "
"No thanks, I don't need it."

"But -"

"I do not need it,"

He walked away, leaving Desiree standing there.

She clenched the towel in anger

Who does he think he is?! He gets Elemental magic, and he thinks he's all that??

Desiree throws a mental tantrum and turns around, and leaves

"Who made her leave? GOD DID 🔛🔝🫡" (emojis were necessary to ignore this line if you aren't religious)

Inyra smiles to himself before he gets approached by Johanese.

"How did you beat me?" Johanese said as he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists

"Let's rephrase that question. Why wouldn't I beat you?"

When Inyra said this, Johanese gritted his teeth even more and dug his fingers into his skin.

He wasn't used to defeat.

He never lost.

Since birth,

Johanese had always been overshadowed by Kailua

Kailua had always gotten more attention

More love.

More everything .

It was evident that their parents had a favorite, and they didn't even try to hide
It.

Kailua would always get praise for every little thing he did,

But Johanese? He barely got attention he was just there in his shadow.

Kailua was good at everything

Johanese always tried to find fault in Kailua buy always failed,

He just wanted the attention that Kailua got, and he didn't wanna be in his shadow. He didn't wanna be the second choice

Every single day, he always asked himself

"Why am I the second choice?"

He strived to find something that he was better than Kailua at.

After a while, he finally did.

He was more skilled at the sword that Kailua was.

Kailua was more a magic person rather than a sword person

He took comfort in this fact and pushed himself to become better

He swore that he'd always win, and he'd never be beaten as this'll be the only way to keep his parents' attention and stay out his brothers shadow.

That's how it was.

Until now, even though it wasn't a tournament and his parents weren't even around at the moment and it was "just a spar" He felt useless, weak and uncomfortable that he could be put back in his brothers shadow at any time.

"I'll let you take the win," Inyra said as he sighed and stared at him with a blank expression.

Johanese was shocked and rubbed his ears just in case he misheard

It was an unfair fight, and it'd be selfish for me to take the win,

Johanese blinked his eyes repeatedly

He was unsure if this was the same person from a few years ago.

"Well then, I hope to have a fair fight with you another time,"

Inyra smiled a bit before replying, "Until then."
