'It has been a year since that faithful day, ever since I pulled the trigger the whole of Japan has been chasing my tail, an everlasting goose chase'
"Don't know when but... I can't run forever" a feminine voice is heard through a dark and empty alley way. She slowly ascends the flight of stairs served for emergency exits when trouble occurs, it has saved her many times in the past when on a chase. Finally she reached the top of the building overlooking the busy streets below, she stared at the distance as she saw heroes on their nightly patrols. "potential threats" she said to herself.
After inspecting the patrolling heroes further "Heroes in training... what a shame, I hope they won't end up like me in the future" she said, sitting on the edge of the roof top. Enjoying the silence, for once she can rest a little as she knows the safety commission and other heroes are after her. From one city to the other she evaded their eyes but it didn't last as she had many close calls, hell the city she was in before she was almost caught just being saved by the last second due to a closing elevator.
But of course it was not only heroes that are after her but also bounty hunters, the commission put a bounty on her head. It didn't matter if they were a hero, villain or civilian, just that they bring her to them, alive or... Dead. Many have tried but many fell to her bullets, they even tried jumping her only leading to their subsequent deaths.
She pulled out a cigarette and lighter, "Where to go now Kaina, You can't hide forever" she said to her self as she lights up the cigarette in her mouth. She watched as the crowd of people enjoyed themselves to what ever world they are in now, couples holding hands, friends laughing up and about, and lonely people enjoying the absence of others close to them.
A sigh exits her mouth as she looks up and stares at the star filled sky above, so many stars she thinks to herself as she let her imagination wonder and about. She shouldn't be doing this, she shouldn't lower her guard down but, the mood was too good for just worrying she had to calm down if the opportunity presents itself from time to time.
It felt reliving, it felt good, for the first time she can let her worries subside, let the horrors get away and yet she has a gut feeling, a hunch that someone's watching her from the shadows...
"I didn't expect the lovely lady Nagant to be here this quiet night" a voice said in broken japanese. She swiftly turned to her back and raised her hand turning it to a gun using her quirk pointing at the figure that spoke to her. She saw a man in the opposite side of the building, lighting a cigar then looked at her straight into her eyes.
"I can speak English you know? No need to talk in japanese" she quipped. "Might as well practice while I'm here for a little trip, them folks should have put the bilingual part in your bounty folder" he responded.
"Damn shame, sorry to make your trip here a short one" she said aiming her gun at the lit cigar on his mouth
He huffed a cloud of smoke and dropped the cigar he had in his mouth, he walked closer and stopped after a few steps. The moon light shines on this man as to her shock she sees a man made of bones.
"None taken, apologies ma'am this'll be the last you see of the outside world"
