okay, so, you see that blonde over there? yeah, that really hot one over there,tanning? that's mackenzie, or mack. she's jj's twin sister, and, yeah, they're basically the same person. they're also pretty much bound at the hip and they always have been, especially since their mom left and father's an asshole. mack cares for all of us, like we're her children despite her only being, like, a year older. she always keeps the château stocked with food and makes sure we're healthy. don't let that fool you, though, because she looks like the classic girl next door but she, along with her brother, could kill you if she really wanted to. so yeah, she's kinda amazing and really hot. just don't tell jj i said that—actually, i'm pretty sure he already knows. everyone on the cut trips over themselves just trying to get her attention. good looks just run in their family i guess.

nothing in this world ever comes easy. there's always some fine print you forget to read. in the outer banks, there was a lot of fine prints and everyone gets more than they bargained for. but, if you follow the rules and keep your head down, you'll be perfectly fine.
first and formost, no one cares who you are. it's always about who you know and who your family is. if you're rich, great, you'll get somewhere in life. if not... well, tough luck, here's a mop. figure it out. if you do what you're told, no one gets hurt. or, you can break the rules. no one really cares, it's going to be your own funeral.
know your place in the food chain and know when to stand down. believe me, there's nothing worse than being the bottom of the barrel. but, you pay your dues and you move on. life sucks, cry a river, build a bridge and get over it. you kind of have to. no one cares about our sob story. we're all wearing our own scarelette letters.
