It's 5:58am on Sunday morning, and it's just me awake in the house, I decided very last minute to go for a run at 6:00am! I am wearing this cropped hoodie, light blue leggings, the matching sports bra and my headphones. I fill my water up and head out the door. I've been running for around 15 minutes now and I'm going around a tight corner when I feel my knee collapse underneath me and smash onto the concrete, this shocking sharp pain goes through my knee up to my thigh "FUCK!" I scream in pain, I just start sobbing on floor as I try to get up, as much as I tried I couldn't put weight on knee and leg. I try and get my phone out with my shaky hands out of my leggings pocket. I pull up Nick's contact to call him. He finally picks up after calling twice

"N-nick"
"Georgie, is that you?"
"Y-yeah, help me please! I've done something to my knee!!!"
"Wait what?! Where are you I'm coming!"
"Uh, just behind the IGA where those houses are..."
"I'm coming now baby, stay still!"
"H-hurry please.."

Nick'sPOV:
I hang up hearing the pain in Georgie's voice, I know she's done something bad, really bad. I get into my car and head to IGA 5 minutes away. I finally get there after 4 minutes but it felt like 30 minutes, I jump out of the car and see a figure on floor or a tight corner of the street. I run over and it's Georgie laying there in ball looking like she is in the worst pain in her whole life. "Baby, I'm here. I'm here." I say crouching down next to her, she just cries she doesn't say a word. I have one look at her leg and she's for sure not okay, her knee looks like something I've never seen before. I try and not a shocked so I don't scare her. "Come let's get you to the hospital." I tell, she nods and lightly help her up as I limp her to the car, every hop she took the pain in her face and voice was terrible to hear and see. I get her into the car and she just sits there pale, scared, I have no idea what to do. I get driving to the nearest hospital that I can think of, we get there and I get her out of the car and she hops her way into the emergency room with my help. We take a seat when the tears start rolling down her face again, "You okay Georgie?" I ask her softly, she shakes her head agrisvily "I probably will most likely be out for the season Nick!" She sobs into my shoulder, I put my arm around her side like a side hug to give her some comfort. "I'm gonna go get you signed in." I tell her getting up, I walk over to the from desk and say hi. "Hi young man, what can I help you with?" This kind lady asked me politely. "My friend over there just did something really bad to her knee and I know something isn't right. She can't put pressure on it and I her knee just sinks in like there is no one there." I explain to her the best I could, she nods at everything I'm saying while she is typing everything down "Her name?" She asks me "Georgie. Georgia Cadman." I tell her sounding quite nervous as she is in really bad pain right now. "Date of birth?" She asks another question "21/02/2003, so she's 20." She nods again I just stand there nervous still. "Okay it shouldn't be long you can take a seat." She gives me a smile and I thank her and head back to Georgie. "Hey, how you feeling right now Georgie?" I ask her still with concern, she thinks for a second "I'm okay, I just know something isn't right here. Like look at my knee." She says pointing at her knee. "Shit I gotta text Aaron that I can't make breakfast." She tells me grabbing her phone out of her leggings.
Georgie'sPOV:
I feel someone shaking my body lightly when I notice it's Nick, shit I must have fallen asleep. Does it really take this long to get looked out, "Georgie, it's our go." Nick whispers to me, I look up and see a wheelchair in front of me with a nurse smiling at me, I smile back while Nick helps me into the wheelchair. I get into it and we get heading off to a room, I feel the nervous kicking back in wondering what the hell is wrong with my knee and if I can play footy this season or not. "Okay we are gonna get you in for an X-Ray just to see if it's broken, dislocated or something else and we will go from there." The nurse explains everything to me and I can't even talk I just nod, Nick is right next to me the whole time. I get into the X-Ray room with the Radiologists and he helps me onto the table, he tries to straighten my leg but I just let out this ear piercing scream. The more he moves it the more screaming I do, I know he has to do it but the pain is unbearable. We finally finish and I get taken back to the room where Nick is, he noticed how tired I am. He gets me onto the bed, "So how was it?" He asks me, "TERRIBLE, he has to move it in different way and I just couldn't stop screaming from the pain I was in. " Try to explain what happened but it doesn't turn out how it was meant to.
It's been an 1 hour or so and doctor and the nurse come in together. "Okay we have your results back and it isn't looking good." I tell me straight up, my heart just sinking to my stomach, no this cannot be happening "You have fully broken your knee cap, and you've done a pretty good job at it to." The doctor tells me, he shows me the X-ray and shock goes fully on my face.

My knee cap has fully basically snapped in half. "How long will the recovery be for this grade of injury?" I asks them with fear in my voice, I know from the looks on the doctors face that it's not gonna be good "3-6 months but with how bad yours is, you look at 5-6 months." They tell me. I just broke, I sink into my bed crying. I feel Nick's warm arms wrap around my body, I just cry into his arms "I'll give you two a minute." The doctor tells us but I don't hear it. I just can't stop crying "N-nick, what am I gonna do!" I sob, he doesn't answer until I hear "What the doctors tell us to do, I will help you every step of you recovery okay? No matter what I will help you so you can heal faster!" I just squeeze him and I feel my eyes fall.
