part twenty - im back baby

4 weeks later-

"NICKKKK, DID YOU TAKE MY DEODORANT?" I hear Josh yell from his room, god these boys.  "NO, WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT?" Nick yells back laughing, "I did take it." He whispers to me, I just laugh. Josh comes storming in and sees it on Nick's beside table. "THAT'S IT!" Josh says grinning at Nick, he jumps on Nick and they start play tackling him. "They are such kids." Anna appears in the doorway. "I completely agree with you." I tell Anna gigging. I fell my phone in my pocket vibrate, shit it's my doctor. "BOYS SHUSH, IT'S MY DOCTOR!" Once yell that, they stop straight away. Nick sits up with arm around my waist to comfort me in what the doctor is gonna say. "Hi, yes this is Georgie." "Mhm." "Yep sounds good, thank you so much!" I end the call, I stand up. "WHAT DID THEY SAY." Nick questions me, I turn around and look sad. "Oh babe." Nick reassures me, "I'M FREE TO PLAY!" I squeal, all there pitty faces turn in exciting faces. They are jump up and give me a hug. "I can go to training tomorrow, so I'm cleared to play on the weekend!" I tell them, I feel tears brewing in my eyes but I don't let them fall. "I'm so proud of you Georgie, you did it! Your gonna be amazing." Nick hugs me and giving me peck on the lips. "WELL, DRINKS TONIGHT TO CELEBRATE!" Josh announces to all of us, we all laugh and agree. "I'm going to go down to local footy field to have kick of footy anyone wanna come?" I ask them, Josh says him and Anna are going on a date. "I will, it will be nice!" Nick agrees, I give him a soft smile. I leave his room to go get dressed, I put a pear of blue leggings on and cropped activewear jumper since it's quite chilly in Melbourne today. While I get ready I put my headphones on and listen to some calming music which I usually do before I do training or before a game. I grab my water bottle from last night and take it downstairs to the kitchen to fill up. No one is down here yet, so I fill my water and grab myself a protein bar. "NICK YOU COMING!" I yell, I then hear him running down the stairs to meet me. He nods and we head out the door. Like a gentleman he is, he opens door for me. "Thank you." I tell him, he smiles. We get to the footy field in about 2 minutes, I put my boots on and grab the footy from the boot, and so does Nick. I run towards the field, I can hear footsteps behind me which is Nick running after me. I start giggling and trying to run away until he grabs by the waist and spins me around. "I love you." I tell him kissing him on the cheek. "I love you more Caddy." I shove him and grab the footy, I do some stretches on my knee and then kick a few goals. "Here!" Nick yells from beside me, the handball it to him and he takes an epic shot. "AND HE GETS ITTTT!" I put a commentators voice on, we both laugh.

4 days later- 

"I'M PLAYING, I GOT ONTO THE PLAYERS LIST!" I yell through the whole house, Nick and Anna come running into the room giving me hugs and congratulations me, Josh was at some meeting that night for dinner. I'm wait to excited! We all have dinner together and talk about how far I have come in the time period. "So, you guys down the come to the game?" I ask them, they both say in synce "OF COURSE." We all start bursting out into laughter. I love them so much.

The Next Day-

I look myself up and down in the mirror looking at the scar on my knee from the surgery. I've been through a lot, and now I'm doing the thing I love again. "I'm ready!" I say to myself, Nick and Josh are at the club doing some media work and Anna is at a last minute shoot but they are still coming since the game is at 6:15pm. I grab my training bag and water and head the car. I hope into the car and put the directions into the club since I don't know if traffic is going to be bad. I get to the club around 1:23pm, and head into the girls rooms. No one is here at the moment, I take out my bathers and change into them to go do some recovery in the pools before the game. I walk with a towel wrapped around me when I see Ginni in the hall. "GINS!" I yell, he turns around and waves. "HEYY CADS!" He runs up and gives me hug, he looks down at my knee and back up to me. "First game back huh? Girl, I'm so proud of you!" He tells me, pulling me back into a hug. I laugh, "Well I'm heading to the pool for some recovery, you coming to the game tonight? Because if not I've got a spare ticket so you can see with Nick, Josh and Anna?" I offer to him, his face lights up in excitement "I'd love to Georgie. thanks!" He answers back to me, I give him a quick smile "Anytime, I'll send you the details and the ticket, tell Nick I say hi if you see him." I ask him, he nods and waves goodbye. Open the door to the pool and see some of the girls in the gym doing some upper body. "Hey girls, how are we?" I ask them, from the pool. They turn around and notice I'm here. "Omg Georgie, we are good but how are you, first game?" They ask me, that's when it kinda hits me. This is my first game playing for the pies, this is a whole new thing for my career. "I'm doing well! I'm going in for strapping before the game so my knee is all prepped for the game, don't wanna injure is again." I do a nervous little laugh, I hop into the pool and do some stretching of my knee and some laps without getting my hair wet before the game. After about 20 minutes I hop out and got get changed back into my training stuff.
