5: Fiasco

Autumn's pov

I don't know if True already knew about what I have found out since he is letting me to speak up. And about the partner thingy? Kailan pa kami naging magpartner sa mga ganitong bagay? No doubt that Lily and Mia are his friends, they all like assuming things.

Anyway, I have no choice but to speak up. Thanks to the detective here beside me who gave me the spotlight that I didn't even want.

"Kaya pa ba?" Nicole taunted. "Sabihin nyo lang kung hindi nyo talaga alam. It's not good pointing fingers kids, lalo na at hindi ko naman ginawa." I hate how she looked down on us. Let's see how she can keep that confidence once her actions are exposed.

"We may be a highschool students but we are not kids. Please use your words accordingly. You are already in college, you supposed to know that." I can't help but to talk back and it is very satisfying to see Nicole fuming.

Tumingin ako kay True na nakangisi sa akin. What now?

"Don't go around the bush, tell us already." Hindi ko alam kung saan sya kumukuha ng confidence ang taong ito. Tingin nya ba ay hindi namin malalaman ang ginawa nya?

"Your first plan is to make Alison doze off to sleep." I'm glad I realized what she did just a while ago after True mentioned her name.

"You guys drank liquor together with Alison, right? I saw four glasses in the sink that proved that you really imbibe." I continued.

"Ano naman ang kinalaman nang pag-inom namin?" She act like she didn't know what she did huh?

"That's your way to make Alison unconscious. Kaninang nakita ko ang sedative sa bag mo na nahulog, kinuha mo bigla sa akin iyon nang mahawakan ko. At first, I thought you are just annoyed since I drop your bag but that's not really the case, you are scared that I might see something. Luckily, I am able to see the medication faster even before you grab it." Nakita ko ang paghigpit nang hawak nito sa kanyang bag.

"Anong medication ang nakita mo?" Inspector asked.

"A sedative. Iyon ang ginamit nya para makatulog si Alison. Tinunaw nya iyon sa alcohol na iinumin ni Alison at ibinigay dito. You can checked her bag to confirm." kinuha ng isang pulis ang bag nya at hinanap doon ang gamot. Nang makita ang tinutukoy ko ay pinakita nya iyon sa amin.

"Hindi ba sinabi ko na sayo na para sa anxiety ko iyon?"

"Yes, I didn't say it was not."

"See? How come I would use it to Alison?"

"Sedatives are medications that slows a persons brain activity once taken. You probably heard from your doctor that sedatives have several uses aside for treating anxiety. You are taking it so I know you are at least knowledgeable about its uses just as treating insomnia, since it has a calming effect and could put someone to sleep. Bukod doon ay inihalo mo pa ito sa alcohol na ininom ni Alison. Don't you know that you can put someone at great risk in doing that? Marahil ay naramdaman iyon ni Alison kaya hindi nya naubos ang inumin nya." I substantiated.

I don't really have a broad knowledge about sedatives. What I have said was also the same thing I heard from my doctor and I never thought I can able to used those information today. Like Nicole, I also have anxiety and the medicine I saw earlier is familiar, I also take that once in a while.

"Unfortunately, what you plan did not go just what you expected. Nakatulog si Alison pero nagising sya bago mo pa sya mapatay. Noong bumalik ka dito ay naabutan mo syang nasa banyo. Nakatalikod sya sayo nang makita mo sya at agad mong hinampas ng insect repellent spray sa kanang bahagi ng ulo nya. Nawalan sya ng malay at doon mo na sya sinaksak para tuluyang patayin." Sabi ni True dahilan para mapatingin naman sa kanya si Nicole. Ipinakita nya rin ang hawak nyang spray.
