"What are you here for...?" Kotaro asked the disguised angel.

"And... How did you come here? I was so sure that I locked this house tight..." Kotaro began to massage his temple. An average person is never enough to enter his home.

"H-he tricked me.." Josée thought to herself, quietly. "If I say that I was tasked by his late parents to take care of him when they die... I'll be seen as suspicious because I came here later than the first day his parents were 6 feet under..." Josée continued.

Josée cools herself down, approaching slowly towards the blind Kotaro. "Are you sure? The instructors did not warn me that you had no parents... I must apologize for your loss." Josée tells the truth. Although, not directly.

"Instructors..!?"
"You seem... Quite young. Do you still go to High school?"

The question wanders in Kotaro's mind.

"I do... It's a little bit unusual... A boy who can't see the world ever again... A world that's against me." said Kotaro, with a frown.

"But... You're not gonna hurt me or anything... No? At least tell me how you got here?" Kotaro asked.

An Angelic aura emits Josée, she conjures a key that was shaped to unlock the lock of Kotaro's household, as she analyzes a piece of information about Kotaro's biography.

"See this key- I mean..." Josée starts to vibrate the key that has a flower keychain with it. "That's how I got here."

"Where did you get it?" Kotaro asked once again.

"My instructor, of course." Josée tells a lie.

"What's her name?"
"Mrs. Shimazaki."

Kotaro drops to the floor out of shock. "S-shimazaki!?"

"Does it sound familiar?" Josée asked him.

"What's her full name?"
"Miyuki Shimazaki."

Kotaro took a deep breath, everything seemed to be connecting to one another. Maybe the caretaker in front of him wasn't lying after all. Even though Angel Josée was deceiving him to complete her task from the ascended plains.

"Yes... That's my aunt... But, why couldn't she just..." Kotaro remained speechless.

"There was a kid playing around in her office... Perhaps she didn't want to make herself too busy in taking care of both children." Josée convinces the blind boy.

"Maybe you're right." Kotaro was now convinced.

"May I... know your name?" asked the curious Kotaro.

"It's Josée. And, from now on... I will be the one to take care of you." Angel Josée's mission has commenced.

"I... Hope you don't mind. Maybe it's your first time or something.. I dunno." Kotaro slightly chuckled as he tried to find a seat.

Josée stopped him. "Kotaro-san..." she got close to the blind boy.

"H-heh?"
"I'm your caretaker now. I'm here to serve you, should there be a time you ask for it."

Kotaro still felt a hint of suspicion towards Josée, but since it had come to this turn... No one would have the right mind to turn back.

"Thank you, Josée-nee." Kotaro's frown started to fade away. As if his trust had already been implanted into the angel. Even though not all of them were present in the divine's heart.

"There's no need to thank you." Josée helped him find a seat that wasn't so far away from Kotaro's distance. He sat on the couch before making a relaxed expression. Though, his blindfold... Feels like a mystery.

It was moderately silent. Awkwardly, The Angel Josée remained like your ordinary, quiet introvert. Despite knowing how to act in a human manner, she of all people, just like the rest of the angels can't seem to know how it feels like to be human. Eating to survive, not to savour its flavor may be its very best analogy.

"Say, uh... Josée... Are you French?"
"My name is- No, yes. I am indeed French."

Kotaro was interested, he always liked the French.

"W-woah! Really!? Can you tell me a few words!?" Kotaro at this point had sparkles coming out from his blindfold.

"U-uh..." signs of nervousness and the uncertainty... That was something unlikely that would happen to an angel, let alone a higher rank one.

"...Raison d'etre." Josée had finally come up with a french phrase, a short one, but enough to last Kotaro's amusement.

"Ah... What does that mean?"
"It means... A reason to live."

Kotaro stays quiet as he thinks it through. He rubbed his temple before letting out a sentence once again.

"Raison d'etre..." spoke Kotaro.

"I like those words." continued Kotaro, as his frown turned into a slight smile.

Josée looks back at the blind boy, she seems to be curious about a certain matter regarding this one.

"Why is that, Kotaro-san?" the angel next to him asked.

"I may be blind, I may not be able to see the world's point of view..." Kotaro starts speaking up.

"My sight is much worse than that of an ant. But, my blindness is not a reason for me to end my chapter." Kotaro ended his small speech.

Angel Josée's eyes widened. A slight blush fades on her cheeks. "How could a human.." muttered Josée herself.

"What's that?"
"No, no. Nothing. But, you make a good point."

Josée tries to cover up, not letting a word of her true identity slip away from her mouth.

Josée stood up as she looked at the window, opening the curtains slightly.

"Oh.. it's already dusk." Angel Josée closes the curtains.

"Kotaro-san... Do you want dinner?" She asked softly, this was the beginning of their chapter.

"S-sure..." Kotaro tries standing up.

"O-oh, no, no. There's no need. I'll... Bring it to you when I finish cooking the dish." Angel Josée heads to the kitchen before Kotaro could even thank her.

"..." Josée was... Quite shocked. The kitchen seemed a little bit messy, but a part of the kitchen was clean at the same time. Her widened eyes towards the messy kitchen made her think how he could've done all of this himself? Does he have friends? How does he cook? Where does his income come from?

Josée stopped asking questions as she snapped her fingers.

"Katharós." the kitchen was... Clean. As a mere second, everything felt brand new as if the kitchen was left untouched. Thankfully, the powers of an angel demonstrated are quite useful in the world of humans.

"Okay.. let's see.. what shall I cook.." Josée thinks of a good dinner meal before she could cook. She heads to the limited ingredients that were in Kotaro's kitchen.
