Sienna's POV:

"From a tender age, she dreamt of a dashing prince who would whisk her away from her troubled family and tumultuous life. Imagining the scenarios, she often found solace in these fantasies, yearning for a hero to rescue her.

Yet, as she grew older, the harsh reality of the world began to sink in. She understood that waiting for a savior was futile; she needed to become her own rescuer.

Life became a battle for her, and she faced it with determination.

She fought against the odds, faced countless setbacks, and often felt consumed by the weight of her struggles. The dreams of a prince faded as she grappled with her own demons, enduring the pain and sadness that life presented.

But then, on an ordinary day, a boy entered her life like a burst of sunlight breaking through the clouds. He brought with him laughter, understanding, and a renewed sense of hope. With him, she found joy in simple moments, a warmth that had eluded her for so long. He became her confidant, a pillar of strength in times of need.

As their bond deepened, she began to realize that she was finding herself through his companionship. He was not her prince, but he was something even more significant-a catalyst for her own healing and transformation. With his support, she learned to confront her past, to mend the wounds that had haunted her, and to build a future free from the shackles of her upbringing.

And then, a revelation struck her. The idea of a prince was no longer a necessity in her life. She had become her own savior, her own hero. Through her journey of self-discovery and with the help of this newfound friend, she had found the strength within herself to rise above her past.

The girl had finally come to understand that she didn't need someone to save her. What she truly needed was someone who would walk beside her, helping her navigate the path to self-empowerment. And in this realization, she had also found the truth that had eluded her all along: the only true rescuer she needed was herself."

I scoff and crumble the paper. "What is this?" I look at Cheryl.

Kane comes into the room. "It reminds me of someone..." He says and looks at me before turning away, shrugging his shoulders.

"First things first. That was rude." She points at the crumbled paper. "You're lucky it was printed from a Word document."

"Second." Her shoulders drop and a sigh leaves her mouth. "It's the perfect ending!"

"Ending to what?" I ask, throwing the paper at her with as tiny force as I can master.

Cheryl doesn't look amused as the paper hits her on the forehead. She crosses her arms over her chest and falls back into her chair. "To the English essay, you dumb fuck."

I nod. "It's too cliché."

"What's wrong with that? Not every story needs to be unique. It's fine to have stories like someone else. What makes them unique and original are the people in it."

I sigh. "You have a point, yeah. But teachers don't want clichés."

Cheryl frowns. "Fuck the teachers," she mumbles.

"Who are we fucking?" Dom practically throws himself on the couch between Cheryl and me.

Instantly our faces turn into horror and disgust.

Kane chuckles. "Teachers expect us to have a life of a superhero when it comes to writing essays about ourselves."

"Teacher once called my life boring," Dom says.

Cheryl chimes in. "I got a D- on an essay where I wrote about my traumas.

"I mean she could at least give me a C or something..."

Dom pats Cheryl on her shoulder.

I check my phone.

Cheryl notices and asks, "Did they arrive?"

I nod, knowing she means Veronika and David. "Yeah, da- Victor messaged me."

Kane looks at me with a small smile. "Are you going to go live with him?"

"I want to, but also I feel bad about Mom even though she too wasn't the best..." I sigh.

Cheryl nods in understanding. "It's your mom after all... But I'm sure Victor wants to catch up."

"I know, I know. I want that too. I guess I will be going from one house to another." I ran my hands through my hair.

Kane smiled and put a reassuring hand on my thigh, squeezing it. "If you ever need an escape you are always welcome to come sleepover to mine."

I smiled. "Thank you."

I could see Cheryl's jaw drop as she double-checked Kane's hand on my thigh. "Wait wait wait. Are we missing something?" She gestured to herself and Dom.

Dominic scoffed. "Wow, I may be missing some screws in my hand but that was rude."

"No! I mean yes, but no!" Cheryl grabbed Dom's head with both of her hands and turned it to me and Kane. "Look!"

"Oh? Oh," Dom said as he checked us. "Something's different."

I looked at Kane with a raised brow.

Kane shrugged.

Cheryl gasped. "Did you two fuck?"

My eyes widened as I nearly choked on my own saliva. "The fuck?" I looked at Cheryl. "No."

Cheryl smirked. "You wish though, right?"

Kane coughed and looked away.

I blinked. "We are just a couple."

Dom grinned widely. Cheryl on the other hand was supportive but aggressive. " 'Just' a couple?! Since when? How? Answer me!"

God damn calm your horses, girl.

"Like 2 days ago? 1 and a half? I don't know," I answered calmly.

"A whole ass day went by and you said nothing?!" Cheryl was furious but there was a tiny bit of excitement there too. However, a stranger could be fooled it was only anger.

I looked at Kane and then back at her. "I was supposed to tell someone?"

Cheryl sighed in disappointment as if she thought me better. "Yes. Tell me."

"Oh."

Dom's eyes widened as if remembering something. He turned to face Kane and pointed his index finger at his face.

Kane looked at Dom's finger in confusion. He moved his head since the finger was almost touching him.

"That's why you were all giggly and happy!" Dom gasped.

Kane's cheeks warmed up. "What? I don't know what you are talking about..."

"You know very well!" Dom chuckled.

Cheryl lifted her eyebrows and smiled teasingly. "Kane was giggling after  Sienna said yes?"

Dom laughed. "He squeals and kicks his feet at cute texts and throws his phone when he writes risky messages."

I grinned widely and looked at Kane.

He was blushing as red as a tomato.

"Shut up you get butterflies and don't stop smiling at cute texts." Kane shot back at Dom.

"You turn as red as a tomato, and then you try to say you are not blushing."

"I'm not blushing!" Kane frowned.

"You were also smiling like crazy for 10 minutes because Sienna texted you back in 30 seconds."

I looked at Cheryl who was holding her laughter. It's like they forgot we are in the same room with them.
