I rub my temples in frustration. I need a 365-day long vacation with additional payment.
I hear a knock on my door. What now.
"Yes?" I call from my spot. I focus back on the papers in front of me. Catching a glimpse of my colleague entering my office.
I was sitting at my desk, finishing up some paperwork when my colleague, Officer Rodriguez, came over to me.
"Hey, Victor, we just got a new call. A neighbor reported that there's a fight going on in the house next door and they're scared it's going to escalate. We need to head over there and check it out."
