Wooyoung wasn't even trying to hide his excitement as they approached the runway. For the first time in their entire career, they had been gifted with private jets for their trip to Jeddah. The jets were four, so they would have to travel in pairs. Of course, Wooyoung asked to couple with San and the latter gladly obliged.
The younger was basically jumping on his toes when the jet opened the doors to their cabin, revealing the spacious area where the luxurious grey and black seats stood.
"San-ah, can you believe it? We have a fucking private jet!"
San chuckled, he found Wooyoung's excitement extremely cute. "Yeah, it's almost shocking. If you had told me this four years ago, I would've laughed it off. We've come so far."
"Is this... champagne?! We have to make a toast! To Ateez and Jeddah and our tour!"
"Calm down, we have several hours of flight ahead. We might as well take it slowly."
"And since when do you take it slowly?" Wooyoung smirked playfully, and San rolled his eyes, laughing. "Jokes aside, I really want to make this toast."
"Okay, okay. Just one, you know I don't do alcohol much."
And so they sat down, Wooyoung poured what was a little too much champagne in San's opinion, and they toasted to Ateez, Jeddah and their tour. They laughed and smiled, talked about their plans and the show to come, and the hours flowed easily while they flew high in the sky. But as expected, weariness was starting to take its toll on them as they were awake since the early morning, so they started doing their beds on the comfortable seats.
"San-ah, can you take my pictures in the jet? I want to make an Instagram post."
"Sure. Pose for me, baby."
San took possibly a million pictures, then handed the phone back to Wooyoung, who happily browsed through the photos, choosing his favourites.
"These four. I look casual in the first one with the bottle, I like it."
"You know Atiny are going to eat you alive for those shoes, yeah?" San teased.
"They're my trademark. At this point, they're an inside joke among us, too. San-ah, do you want pictures too?"
"Nah, I'm good. Also, it's better not to post consecutively, they don't know we're traveling together, it's better not to feed any more flame about our ship, don't you think?"
Wooyoung looked flustered, a little annoyed, even. "Alright, as you wish. I'm going to share mine now anyway, thanks for the help."
"Everything alright, Youngie?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?"
But San knew him all too well not to notice the shift in his mood, and smiled softly at his reticence to name the reason why. Wooyoung was the one among the two who strongly wanted to come out with their relationship. But, with them being idols and faces of their group, it wasn't as simple as it sounded. They had responsibilities towards the other members and their agency as well, and no one knew what the worldwide reaction would actually be. As sad and frustrating as it was, it was better to stay in the closet, at least for the time being. San understood his duties, Wooyoung, with his bratty temperament, sometimes forgot the assignment and slipped here and there. San found it adorable, just as much as anything else in Wooyoung's personality.
