We agreed to meet directly at the Matz, to avoid the other employees seeing us leaving together, and especially to avoid Haneul's prying eyes. Wooyoung finished his shift at six and went home, I clocked out at six thirty and was about to go home, when that witch of a sister came to me, bouncing along.
"Hey little brother. It's Friday, what do you think of a night out, just you and me? We could go dancing, or-"
"I'm tired, Haneul, and the last weekends have been less than enjoyable and satisfying. I just want to jump in the shower and then in my bed."
She huffed. "You're such a party pooper. I'll go out with Wooyoung, then."
I smiled internally, but kept a straight face. "Do as you wish, I'm going home. Have a great night out, noona."
If I were a good person, I'd feel bad for Haneul, knowing that Wooyoung would decline her invite as well. But all I could think of was how he would be dressed up, and what our dinner would turn out to be. I took my keys and went to my car, driving home to change before meeting Wooyoung.
As I told him, I dressed casually, with a hint of sexy. Black slacks and a white shirt unbuttoned just as much to let him thirst over the view. Some jewelry to complement the outfit, light makeup, and I was ready to go out. I drove to the Matz, and as usual, I was early. Our appointment was at 8 pm, and it was 7:30. The stress from the previous weeks made me fall back into a old bad habit, so I lit myself a cigarette laying against the wall with a foot against it, just beside the Matz' main entrance. I wasn't even finished with my little sin, that I heard the only voice I was interested in hearing, jokingly mocking me.
"Well, well. So, the boss is a smoker. Haven't they told you it's bad for your health?" Wooyoung pulled back his hair and smiled knowingly at me.
"It's been a couple of rough weeks. Got caught in a old habit."
"Rough? How so?" he was teasing me already, and it hadn't even been five minutes.
"Let's get inside and I may tell you about it, if I feel like it. Our table isn't ready yet, but we can drink something at the counter while we wait. What do you say?"
"You said alcohol, I say yes. Let's go."
The Matz was a bit of a fashionista place. It was property of an old friend of teen wrongdoings of mine, Kim Hongjoong, and his mate, Park Seonghwa. The two were inseparable, and as much as Seonghwa liked to pretend they were going to split up any second because they weren't really compatible, they both were whipped for one another since high school and had been together ever since. They acted like a married couple, always bickering, and sarcasm was their love language. But deep down, Seonghwa was a big softie, so much that Hongjoong found him a little too affectionate sometimes. But he secretly liked that. Don't tell Seonghwa, of course.
"Hey, Joongie. Care to pour me a drink? Something strange of your invention. Not too sweet please. Something with whiskey."
"If it isn't Choi San! I haven't seen you in ages. Have you finally decided to come out of your cocoon? It was about time. I'll give you a Kim special. What does your... friend here drink instead?"
"Hi, I'm Wooyoung. Something strong please. I'm anything but a lightweight."
"Can attest to that."
"Then, a Seonghwa on the Bitch for you."
"Can you stop calling it like that?"
"Nope. Takes out all the fun."
"Only if the bitch is you."
"But then, it would be Seonghwa under the Bitch."
"I'll keep that in mind next time you ask me to ride you till you see stars, Kim Hongjoong. But how rude of me. I'm Seonghwa. Glad to meet you, Wooyoung. Are you on a date with this brute here?"
