"You've forgotten about our double date, again. What do I have to do with you to make you remember even half of our appointments together? Do you not care about what we do together at all?"
"Of course I care. I just have a shit memory, Woo, that's all!"
"Yeosang, it's not just that. On top of forgetting about the date, you also took another commitment instead. What do you expect me to do? Just accept it and tell my friends 'Oh, my boyfriend is not coming because he forgot and also decided to go elsewhere?'"
"Yes! I have my own life too, Wooyoung. I can't cancel my appointment, I paid good money to secure a ticket for that show."
"So, once again it's my face on the magazine of excuse me, we're shit friends. I'm tired, Yeosang. I know why you're doing this."
"Not again..."
"You're not as oblivious as you want to appear. I bet you remembered well about the double date and didn't give a shit when booking that show. The truth is, you don't want to know my friends. You don't want to be introduced as my boyfriend."
"That's not true."
"None of my friends know you! All they've seen are stolen pictures of us I snapped, otherwise they'd believe I'm mental and making you up."
"I- I just need some more time. To make sure we're serious."
"We've been together six months, Yeosang. Six! How much does it take for you for it to be serious, six years?"
"No, but- it's not enough yet. We're getting there. Just, not yet."
"It seems like you're almost ashamed of me. What, am I not good enough? Fine. You go to your damn show. I'm out."
Wooyoung didn't even give Yeosang the time to reply and went out, slamming the door. He sighed, shaking his head.
Wooyoung was taking the long road to the restaurant, walking instead of taking a cab, giving himself the much needed time to think about what just happened, and about his relationship with Yeosang in general. Yeosang was a sweet man, sometimes too much in his own world, but he would never hurt someone on purpose. He was naive, but that was part of what he loved about him. On the other hand, they had some... discrepancies when it came to physical contact and, well, sex. Yeosang hated being hugged and randomly kissed just as much Wooyoung loved being affectionate, and while Wooyoung loved to explore many aspects of sex, Yeosang seemed to be more traditional. Wooyoung often found himself dreaming about an all consuming relationship where in the sheets he could take control and let loose his darkest desires, but he also knew he would never get that with Yeosang. He felt guilty for having such thoughts, but it also made him realise that maybe they needed to talk about what they both expected from each other.
"Another day."
He entered the restaurant, ready to tell his friends that Yeosang, once again, wouldn't have been there.
