"Where did you disappear to last night, Wyatt?" Teddy had asked her over breakfast that morning. The narrative of the party he remembered wasn't very interesting as he left rather early. Wyatt, however, according to Rudy, didn't return to their dorm room until rather late.
Wyatt didn't really have much to say to her friends. The Great Hall was vastly too overstimulating and her brain was far too muddled for human interaction. She just shrugged and said: "I have no idea" before returning to her dorm room and opting to take a sick day.
Theodore waited for her in potions and looked for her at lunch, but alas, Wyatt had crawled into the hole that was her common room and was not to return until the next day, when he knew he would see her because that was the day rehearsals started.
On the morning of November second, Wyatt was feeling better. She was just about willing to show her face after the party and her headache had since gone. Rudy and Teddy managed to get some summary of the events of the party two nights before and they spent the rest of the day trying to track down this Casey Stevens character that Teddy vaguely remembered from the auditions.
As for Wyatt, she had a table read to go to. As she walked into Flitwick's classroom where the drama group was gathering, she was ever so grateful that she had taken a day off to recuperate because today was immensely important and she needed to do it right and do it well.
There was something grossly disappointing when Wyatt arrived at Flitwick's classroom for the table read and the first person she found to speak to was not Theodore. To make it miles worse, the first person she located and engaged in conversation with while everyone else waited for the others to arrive, was that Casey kid. Theodore was not one hundred percent sure if this was his name and he had no recollection of a surname when they were introduced on Halloween.
He hadn't seen her since that party and while a hangover was likely the reason behind that, Theodore, like he often did, made it about himself and concluded that she was avoiding him.
She had most definitely forgotten it ─ or she would deny it ever happened ─ but two nights ago they had shared quite an endearing moment. She had laughed at one of his jokes and looked into his eyes with something that wasn't pure, undying hatred. A very brief interaction that hardly lasted more than a few seconds before Casey interrupted, but for these two's track record? That was basically a hug.
