Deckard moved the gun away from April's face and removed his hand from her shoulder. She moved away from the wall before folding her arms and facing her brother.

"Does she know?" April asked, only to be met with the rarely seen confused expression from Deckard. "That you're alive, our mother." She added.

"No, it was safer if none of you knew where I was. Better yet, safer if you thought I was dead." Deckard admitted.

April let herself rest against the wall, shocked by the new information. The silence between the to siblings lasted an age before April broke it.

"I spent everyday looking for you. After me and Ramsey created God's Eye, I used it everyday to try and find you." April's voice began to break as she told him. "It never gave your location away, Ramsey told me to give up but I couldn't. I wouldn't give up."

"Did you ever find my location?' Deckard asked, his expression remained unchanged, emotionless.

"Yeah, three days before we were captured." April replied, with a short humourless laugh.

Whether is was the atual words April said or the tone of voice and humourless laugh that caused a change in Deckards expression, April didn't know but something caused him to change.  He turned away from April causing her to scoff. Ignoring her for a moment, he discarded the gun on a nearby table before turning back round to face her.

He lent against the table and waited to see if April would continue without him having to prompt her. After yet what felt like another age of silence, Deckard realised April had nothing more to say.

"When did you leave the family?" Deckard asked, waiting for some reaction from April.

A flicker of suspension flashed across April's face as she studied her brothers face, only to discover nothing but general interest and concern in his eyes.

"3 years after you went MIA. I tried to leave earlier but Owen didn't let me. He forced me to stay by paying me and when I tried again, I refused his money and walked away. I never even said my goodbyes to Hattie and mother." April admitted.

"How did you survive?" He asked, waiting to know more.

"I left with the remaining cash Owen gave me and went to live with Ramsey. Me and her worked together for 3 years creating a technological device." April begun to explain.

She paused slightly, casting a glance at her brother who silently urged her to continue.

"When me and Ramsey discovered money would soon become an issue, I went out and started earning money for us both." She paused, looking at Deckard.

He briefly looked her up and down before raising an eyebrow. April gasped and walked over to him. She hit his arm before chuckling slightly to which Deckard smiled. April lent against the table next to him before continuing.

"I became a champion in illegal Street racing." She said once her chuckling had subsided.

The shock on Deckards face caused April to burst into another set of giggles this time Deckard just looked at her in disbelief.

"I'm serious. I'm a natural." April told him proudly.

"How did you learn?" Deckard asked still in disbelief.

"Owen after several weeks of his usual treatment towards me, he'd teach me about cars and I quickly learnt. Guess I'm a little more Shaw than you thought." April responded as she moved back to her original spot.

Deckard took hold of April's wrist to stop her going anywhere.

"You  were always a Shaw. I never doubted you ever." Deckard told her, his face glowing with pride.

"So why leave me in a house full of people convinced I wasn't a Shaw and would never amount to anything?" April asked, her voice breaking.

She pulled her arm free and walked away from her brother. As she begun to go over the conversation, something became clear to April that she had not yet thought of.

"How the fuck did you know about Owens techniques?" April demanded to know.

Deckard stayed quiet, now refusing to meet April's eyes. April scoffed at his reaction before repeating the question, now standing with her hands resting on her hips. She was looking at deckard, daring him to challenge her but he didn't.

"I kept in contact with Owen." Deckard admitted eventually.

"Fuck you." April spat, turning away from him.

He seemed frozen, unmoving. It wasn't until April reached the door did he snap and remember what was going on. In an instant he had hold of the gun once more and fired it. It hit the doorway once again millimeters from April's head.

She spun around, rage plastered over he face. Taking hold of a secret knife he had hidden, she threw it in Deckards direction.

Unlike her brother who was deliberately avoiding atually hitting her, she was actively trying to hit him. The knife hit Deckards shoulder with perfect accuracy.

Deckard took several steps backwards, in complete shock at his sister.

"6 months on the run and 3 months as a captive does shit to someone." She snarled at him from across the room.

She opened the door once more and walked out, slamming it closed. A sudden noise of many guns being loaded stopped April in her tracks. The lights flickered on revealing a dozen men surrounding her all pointing their guns at her chest.

The door behind her opened and soft footsteps were heard behind her. Slowly turning around April was faced with a her brother once more.

She sighed, frustration anger and sadness flooded her senses. Her emotions threatened to take control but she just allowed what ever was going to happen, happen.

Deckard walked over to April, her face completely blank and emotionless. She sighed softly, her heart knowing it wouldn't be so easy to escape Deckard.

"I'm sorry little sister, I really am." He whispered to her before placing a damp rag over her mouth and nose.

April didn't fight it. She just continued to breath in the toxic fumes until her vision gave up and she went limp...
