Seola was on her way home from work. Accounting - it's not really something she wanted to do, but she had to follow in her brothers footsteps, who now owns his own firm and was always the golden son in the eyes of their parents. She hoped that, after finishing college, her parents would no longer pressure her into doing whatever they wanted with her life. However, things didn't really go that way.
Her support has been, for the past two and a half years, her boyfriend, Hangyeol. Well, sort of. They met in college and, after being friends for a little while, they started dating and moved in together after a few months. Things were going great at first, until he started being too busy with work to pay attention to her everyday problems and struggles. He started to distance himself from her and Seola knew that all too well. However, she wasn't ready to let go of the comfort he brought her even if she saw their relationship crumble in front of her eyes.
What is making her the happiest whenever she is uncertain of what's about to come is baking. She loves making colorful sweets, decorating them as lively as she could and seeing the people around her so happy looking at what she could do. It truely brought her joy discovering an unique taste combination and playing with the colors and textures of her creations.

"God, why does he never open his phone?" she mumbled to herself.
Seola looked at her message requests and found a message from an unknown number that read:
"Hey! I know you don't know me but im Hangyeol's coworker. We went on a few dates a couple of times and he never told me he had a girlfriend. Today he left his unlocked phone on the table as he went to the bathroom and I saw your texts and after that i left as quick as I could. Thought I'd reach out to you and send you some proof. Take care of yourself!"
As she was waiting for the subway to arrive at the station, realizing the meaning of the messages, Seola felt a sudden feeling take over, one that made her stop in her tracks for some time. She felt her eyes heavy as she looked at the screenshots of them flirting. She couldn't bring herself to respond to the girl. She just wanted to go home and end what needed to be ended a long time ago.
Everyone was walking so fast and the world started moving around her, it was as if she was the only one who's life wasn't moving in the right direction. The feeling of not belonging in the big city of Seoul never really left her ever since she moved from her hometown. Still, it never felt as overwhelming as it did in that moment. She wanted to move out, no, she had to. Seola thought plently of times before about leaving the city, but she always cared too much about what her family would think and all the people she would leave behind. But, the feeling of betrayal made something in her flip like a switch and made everything in her head clear. The only way she could truely live was if she moved to the seaside, where she'd relearn to become calm and to appreciate the beauty of life. She often dreamed of the cooling breeze and the sand burning her feet. She dreamed of all the sweets she'd make while looking out the window at the sea. An oasis of thoughts came crushing down at that moment and Seola knew what she had to do. On the ride home she was all fidgety, trying to calm herself down as she continued feeling out of place, as a black sheep surrounded by an ocean of white.
She got to her building, walked up to her appartment, frantically looking for the keys in her bag while ignoring her soon to be ex boyfriend's call. She opened the door, walked into their room where he was playing video games and slapped him in the face. Her face was red with anger but he could feel in her eyes that she was truely hurt to her core. She packed her bags while he started panickingly asking what was wrong - at least that's what she thought - his voice was just a muffled sound as her head felt heavy and she felt a constant tick in her head.
"I know everything. Your coworker told me about your little dates." she said, with her voice breaking while she could barely hear herself.
"Baby, how can you believe such bullshit?" he responded. Seol noticed the way he was obsessivly playing with his hair, a habit he had when he was lying and how he refused to look her in the eye - he wasn't calm at all.
After a lot of words mindlessly thrown around, pleads for forgiveness and useless promises, she was finally free out of the house. He tried to go after her but she pushed him down with all her force, constantly telling him to let her go. She put the suitcases in the back of the car she rarely got to use and got in the drivers seat. She opened the window to let the air in and started driving to the one little place that was dearest to her heart.
