Finch, standing in her paramedic uniform, wore an exhausted look on her face as she entered her apartment. The apartment was vacant, with Josie still at work for another two hours.

The ravenette placed her belongings down in her shared bedroom with Josie, and planned to have a warm shower and to change into pyjamas before having dinner.

Once accomplishing those tasks, Finch entered the kitchen, with the question on her mind of what to cook for dinner. That soon faded when she opened the fridge to find a container filled with chicken stirfry, and a little note from Josie that read "I made you some dinner! Though you'll have to wait to kiss the cook later"

Finch couldn't help but to laugh lightly at the sticky note, before she took the container from the fridge. After working a twelve hour shift, the paramedic was completely exhausted and relieved that she didn't have to cook, and only reheat the food.

Once reheating the stirfry and placing it into a bowl, she moved to sit in front of the television, in the living room. Pulling up Netflix, displayed was a half watched episode of Shameless that the girlfriends had been watching the night previously.

Deciding not to continue the episode, since Finch was binge watching the show with Josie, she flicked through Netflix's categories to find something else to watch, though she didn't get too far as her phone pinged with a text message.

Lizzie

Lizzie
Hey Fi
8:29p.m.

Finch
Hey Lizzie!
How are you?
8:30 p.m.

Lizzie
Honestly feeling better
now that you've responded.
I was worried you might
not like me anymore.
8:30 p.m.

Finch
What? Why would I not like
you? We're running buddies
🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️💨
8:32 p.m.

Lizzie
I guess after what happened
between Josie and I, I thought
you'd hate me. 😅
8:33 p.m.

Finch
No!! I was sad to see how
it affected Josie, and I was
sad we stopped talking, but
I only wanted what was best
for you. I don't have any
siblings but I assume they
have disagreements from
time to time, right?
8:36 p.m.

Finch
And you guys are talking
again and are both happy
and that's all that matters
😌
8:37 p.m.

Lizzie
Ugh, I missed you
so much 😩
8:39 p.m.

Finch
And I missed you
too 💘
8:40 p.m.

Lizzie
What are you up to with
your life now? Did you
graduate college?
8:42 p.m.

Finch
I sure did! You are officially
speaking to a qualified
paramedic 🚑🚨
8:44 p.m.

Lizzie
And a full time fucking
nerd 😂 Nah I'm so
happy for you xx
8:45 p.m.

Finch
Bitch!! How is your fashion
designing going? And when
do I expect to see you drop
a clothing line of your very
own? 👀
8:47 p.m.

Lizzie
Busy! I'm so busy but
I've had a burst of creativity
lately so I've gotten a lot done.
I've be sure to send you a
piece once my line has
dropped 😉
8:48 p.m.

Finch
Sweet! I look forward to
it 😌 Hey random question
but do you wanna facetime?
8:50 p.m.

Lizzie
Yeah sure!
8:51 p.m.

The pair decided to stop texting and instead facetime, where they inevitably caught up on everything that had happened in their lives over the past two years.

Lizzie showed Finch some of her designs on her mannequins, and even some of her favourite designs she was currently drawing up in her sketchbook.

Finch was eager to show Lizzie her paramedic uniform, and shared some very memorable work stories before finding herself comfortable again on the couch.

Eventually Josie, who was working as a nurse, had arrived home and was surprised to see her girlfriend and twin sister facetiming eachother and giggling like old friends.

The ravenette Saltzman joined her girlfriend on the couch and cuddled up to Finch, as she joined in on conversation with her sister.

AUTHORS NOTE

We deserved Lizzie and Finch as friends 😩 So since the writer's suck, expect to see Cleope and Fizzie besties in this fic >>>>
