16. Living and Dormant
Jack POV
I flew as fast as the wind could carry me. Trees were falling down because of how fast I was flying, but none of that mattered, I was going to find Snow.
I had a map in my hand to guide me to the place of the Storyteller's world, pinpoint accurate. I almost lost it a couple of times on my way.
When I reached the place, I was a bit confused about what I found. It was just a forest in the middle of nowhere. It stretched on for miles and miles with no end. I looked around, but there were no doors, no portals, not even a label of some sort to say that it was here. I knew that the world wouldn't be in the physical world, but I thought that it would be easy to find, a small clue of some sort. Some riddle carved into a tree or rock that would guide me, but there was absolutely nothing.
I sat on top of a tree, "Snow!" I yelled as loud as I could.
But no answer, she has to be here. There is no other place where she can be.
"Snow!" I yelled louder, cupping my hands around my mouth to sound louder.
I sat for a moment. "Jack." I heard a faint sound. Like it was so far away. But I knew she was here.
"Snow! Snow, where are you?!" I yelled back.
"Jack, is that you?" Said the faint voice. I'm sure it's Snow's.
"Yea! Yea it's me Snow. Where are you?" I yelled back. I was so happy to hear her speak. I was jumping around to hear her better.
"Storyteller's world. Well, my dad's world. I don't think I can come out, or you can come in though." She said. It was getting fainter, but I could still make out what she was saying.
There was a pause for a moment and then she said, "It's nice to hear you again Jack."
"Yea, same with you!" I replied. But after that, there was no answer. I just sat up in that tree waiting for her to say something more, but there was only rushing of the wind.
"Snow! Snow, are you still there?!" I yelled. But again no answer. My smile slowly dropped. There was nothing more I could think of. I just sat up in that tree watching the sun set and the Moon rise.
Snow POV
After I heard my name once. I was just completely shocked. But then it rang through my ears the second time and I knew it was really Jack. My Jack Frost. How in the world did he find me?
"Jack!" I yelled back, hoping he would hear me.
I looked back at my surroundings and found myself still at Baba Yaga's place so I quickly ran outside. I almost ran out that door. I tried to quietly close the door, but when I turned around, my father was standing right in front of me.
"Ok, I know I have some explaining to do, but right now, I need to talk to someone." I told him really fast.
He accepted what I have said, but he was still pretty angry by the look he had on his face.
"Snow. Snow, where are you?" Came Jack's faint voice through the barrier between the physical and Storyteller's world.
Tears almost filled my eyes. "Jack! Is that you?!" I yelled. It was so nice to hear his voice.
"Yea. Yea it's me Snow, where are you?" He asked.
I looked up at the sky and yelled, "Storyteller's world. Well my dad's world. I don't think I can come out or you can come in though!" The funny thing was that my dad was standing right next to me and didn't really care what we were talking about.
