╰┈➤ y/n turned the dial of her car's stereo as the music quieted in the atmosphere of the interior. she applied pressure to the break as she came to a stop outside of the familiar motorcycle shop. pressing on the clutch, she shifted the gearstick into neutral before turning off the ignition, creating a complete silence on the quiet street. exiting the vehicle, y/n closed the door before entering the shop.
"hey, dad" she smiled, walking up to his figure to engulf him into a hug. "hey hun, how was work?" he questioned, motioning for y/n to take a seat on the couch located in the waiting room of the shop. "it was busy today since my agency got a brand sponsor, but tomorrow will be less chaotic. " she nodded mostly to herself. her father smiled as he mirrored her action.
"how about you? are you done for the day?" she asked, turning her head to face him as he wrote some things down on a clipboard. "I have one more customer coming in tonight. he called urgently so i gave in since he's been visiting us for a while now. he's a loyal customer" he looked up, a light laugh escaping after his words and this peaked y/n's interest. "really? do I know him?" y/n questioned once more.
"you know, hun..i don't think you've ever met him before..." her father was lost in thought until he confirmed his own words. "yeah, I don't think so" he shook his head, clicking his pen before setting it down on the clipboard. "oh..". she stood up, walking over to her father as he motioned for her to approach him. "can you take a look in the back and check what we need to stock up on? I used up the last of our engine oil today but we might be running low on more things."
"yeah, of course" y/n gently took the clipboard and pen from it's place on the counter before heading off to the back. she examined the paper, seeing that a few items were already listed. looking up, y/n glanced over all of the shelves, writing down different items that they had less of a quantity of.
'towels, oil filters, coolant, batteries'
the ink displayed all items onto the paper. y/n took a deep breath, double checking the shelves and occasionally glancing down at the paper. "that should be it" she mumbled to herself. her train of thought was suddenly put to a stop when she heard the sound of the door's bell ringing, signifying that someone had entered the shop. y/n figured that it was the costumer that her dad had previously informed her about.
