🝮︎︎︎︎︎︎︎ "SO, DO YOU WANNA RIDE?" 🝮︎︎︎︎︎︎︎
╰┈➤ fast passing hours caught up to y/n as the next day rolled around. after getting off of work a bit earlier today, she stopped by to visit her dad at the shop like always. she expected to see him in the garage working on customers motorcycle's and their issues, but instead he was resting in the back due to his worsening cold. after insisting that she'd work on the vehicles, y/n left her father to continue to get some rest in some peace and quiet.
she'd find the job a bit challenging on this particular day so when she realized that the last motorcycle she was working on belonged to suna, she felt some sort of relief since he only required a tire change. she began doing so, removing the worn ones that have been clearly put through hell even before her own race. 'he really needs to take it easy with the racing...' she mumbled to herself as her fingertips grazed the smoothed rubber wheel.
as she was putting on the new one, she heard the front door to the shop open as the bell rung. not bothering to look up, she figured that the customer would figure out her location since changing a tire wasn't exactly a quiet task. "aw, did you feel bad about wrecking my tires so now you're changing 'em for me?"
y/n quickly turned her head to see suna standing by the door and leaning against the frame with a look of interests on his expression. "you fucking wish. my dad's not feeling well so I'm helping him out today." she cleared up. as y/n was about to go back to her job, she froze in place. "hey, i told you that I'd let you know when it was done. why're you here?" she gave him a small glare and he shrugged, arms crossing over his chest. "im impatient when it comes to things that i like not being in my possession." y/n looked back over to him to see that he was eying her with a teasing look that was mixed with something else that y/n didn't exactly wanna find out. "whatever, can you wait twenty-five minutes? by then I'll be done."
he checked his phone while y/n waited before humming, taking a seat on a nearby foldout chair. "who's bike is that over there?" he asked, making a nodding motion to her bike that she was still in the process of renewing. "mine"
"what does the letters mean?" suna shrugged cluelessly when y/n gave him an annoyed look. the two letters were the initials of her mom since the motorcycle previously belonged to her, but that wasn't suna's business. "you're so nosey." she rolled her eyes with a sigh. "i call it curiosity, but whatever makes you happy, sweetheart."
"so, do you wanna ride?"
y/n almost dropped the tool in her hand as she cursed herself for misinterpreting suna's words. she cleared her throat and heard suna let out a breathy laugh. "your bike. we can ride sometime if you're down?". he repeated. y/n groaned when his tone sounded as if he was speaking to a five year old. "mhm, sounds like fun."
"speaking of...fun. seems like you don't have much of it since you're always so pissed at anything that breathes"
"I'm glad you observed that. if you somehow stopped breathing, maybe i could stand being in the same vicinity as you for longer than five minutes" she faked a smile at the boy before the sound of the drill tightening the bolts overpowered their voices. "wait, so you're saying; the first five minutes i was here, you enjoyed my presence." y/n sighed at his words. she was convinced that suna was sent into her life just to test her patience.
"if you can stop talking until i finish this, ill give you a ten percent discount on the bill." she sighed, feeling relief when the boy didn't verbally reply, but instead lifted a curious eyebrow. she thought that she finally won, but the feeling of his gaze was almost excruciatingly evident and powerful on her back
"literally look any where else in the room" she groaned. suna pulled his phone out, tapping at the screen and when he shut it off, y/n felt her own device vibrate in her pocket. a text from the nuisance of a motorcyclist.
suna: where i look wasn't part of the deal, sweetheart :)
"you're a real pain in the ass, suna."

"thanks" suna smiled what y/n gave him to go ahead to roll his bike out of the garage. y/n hummed, satisfied with her work, yet a bit tired from the long day. "you should test drive it when you leave so there's no fuck ups in an actual race." she offered. suna reached for his helmet, pulling it over his head with a nod. "and if it fucks up during the test drive?" he asked, lifting the visor and facing y/n. she lifted her arms, shrugging as she pivoted on her heel to wash her hands at the nearby sink.
he started the ignition as the loud roar of the exhaust bounced against the wall, amplifying the sound further. "text me later and let me know if u feel anything wrong." y/n waved him off and suna revved the throttle before flipping down the visor and speeding off down the street. y/n panicked a bit when she realized that the sound could've been interrupting her dad's rest since he was a light sleeper. unfortunately she was correct since the man was approaching her from the room. "im sorry, that was suna. i forgot to tell him to keep it down"
"don't worry, n/n. did you end up changing his tires?" she nodded proudly and her father shot her a proud smile, although the discomfort from his fever seeped through. "im going to close up for today and get you a few things from the convenience store next door so you can start feeling better".
"okay, sounds good, n/n." he wholeheartedly smiled before disappearing behind the door that lead to the back room. it may not seem like it from the outside, but through the storage room, there was actual fully furnished bedroom and full bathroom that y/n's father classified as his 'home'. y/n wasn't all that content with it, but after setting up a security system for him, she could feel at a bit more ease than before.
grabbing her wallet from the front counter, y/n now made her way out of the door and down the street to pick up a few things that'd help take care of her fathers fever and cold.
