THE DUCKS HAD ONE BOTH THE PLAYOFFS AND THE SEMI-FINALS against the Hornets and the Cardinals. Jules was playing most of the game as well, she was so happy that Bombay let her play. For the Semi-Finals, her dad, Mike and Basil were sat in the bleachers, cheering the loudest for her. Amelia was yet to see her daughter play, she wasn't very happy that she was playing a brutal game like ice hockey and had given up figure skating but she saw the dramatic change in her daughter's mood.
Adam and Juliet had become the dynamic duo in the championships, they worked together like one, knowing each others moves and scored most of the goals for the team. However, they weren't often on the ice together because they both played centre spots but when they were, they took over the ice as their own, claiming every goal. They managed to win against the Hornets seven to five, and Jules scored three of the goals.
The Cardinals was a much more brutal game and Juliet felt slightly pressured with having her uncles there, cheering loudly for her but she still scored two goals and was one of the best on the rink. She skated for two periods before sitting out for most of period three, just cheering her team on. Adam scored two goals, and Guy also one so they had five. Jules was aloud back onto the ice with forty seconds left, the puck was skated past her when she skated after it, snatching it away with her stick and took off back down the other end of the rink.
"Jules! Jules! Jules!" Mike and Basil started up as she sped across the ice, hearing the commentary in her other ear about how she's their star player, after learning how to play within two weeks and a terrible fall in her old field of figure skating but she didn't let it get to her. She rounds the goal before firing the puck in, six-to-four, the Ducks are against the Hawks in the state finals.
The excitement was still going on in the changing rooms after the semi-finals, chants of quacking and for Juliet, just as there had been when she scored that last goal in the final ten seconds. Connie and Tammy had two arms around her shoulders, punching their fists in the air when someone scooped up Jules from behind, spinning her around.
She squealed when her uncles and father entered the changing rooms, their tall figures instantly noticed, "You were amazing out there, charm." Mike grinned, ruffling her hair like always, "But you're all sweaty, gross."
"You can't be in here, Uncle Mike." Juliet gives him a shove, "Perv." He held up his hands in defence, "You can congratulate me outside, leave." The three men just left, laughing between each other at her bossiness.
"Still can't believe that he's your uncle." Adam whispered in her ear, making her jump, gasping in when her heart hammered against her ribcage, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." Barney placed a hand on her chest, heaving in a breath, "Really, it's weird how they're your uncles."
