(Duncan's POV)
I waited outside McDonald's for Geoff, as we were going to have lunch there.
"Yo Duncan! Dude." He said as he walked up to me.
"Finally." I spoke stepping inside. We walked over to the till and ordered our food. Once we got the tray, we sat down at a table of our own.
"Okay dude. Let's get down to business." He said dipping a chip in ketchup.
I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and pretended I didn't hear him.
-Flashback-
We were at a party and somehow we were both still sober.
"Geoff. I challenge you to make those two girls fall in love with you and admit it." I said pointing at a hippie kind of girl with blonde hair in a ponytail, and a girl with extremely short clothing with her long black hair out.
"What happens if I do it?" He asked.
"You will get two lovers." I answered. He glared at me.
" Fine, I will give you one hundred dollars.""Okay. But with the condition that you have to do it too after I'm done." He replied to my offer.
"Deal?""Deal." I said shaking his hand to seal the deal.
-End of Flashback-
"Dude, a deal is a deal. I bet you just can't do it, that's why you're so scared." He said with a smirk. He won and ended up getting Bridgette, hippie girl, as a girlfriend
"Fine then, bring it on. Just start preparing thoes hundred bucks." I told him defiantly.
"Okay. So, I pick... that girl." He said pointing at this pale goth girl with teal and black hair.
"And I also pick... her." He finished as he pointed at a girl with tanned skin and straight brown hair ending at the shoulders."Deal. And off I go." I said getting up and approaching the brunette. I sat down at her table and she just glared at me.
"Can I help you?" She asked with a raised eyebrow as she took a bite from her burger.
"You can help me to your number." I replied with that flirtatious smile that makes all the girls fall for me.
"I'm not sure I what you were thinking, but no." She said sternly.
"Why not." I asked her.
"Because I don't date strangers." She replied.
"But everyone before you meet them are strangers." I said with a smirk.
"I still don't know who you are."
"My name is Nelson. Duncan Nelson. There, now you know." I tell her.
"Fine, whatever." She said pulling out a pen and writing her number on a napkin.
"There you go." She spoke handing it to me then standing up."And what's your name princess?" I asked.
"Barlow. Courtney Barlow." She replied then walked out the door.
One down and one to go.
I stood up and walked towards the goth girl's table.
"Hey there." I said sitting down. She looked at me for a second, then went back to her book.
"What are you reading?" I asked."Twilight." She said not looking up.
"You read that?" I teased her. Like seriously, twilight?
"What do you think I'm doing right now?" She replied sarcastically.
"Whatever. So, what's your name?" I asked.
"Why do you want to know?"
"Because that is how you make friends, you see." I replied.
"Gwen." She said before taking a sip of her drink through the straw.
"I'm Duncan. And friends also have each other's numbers on their phones." I said with a smirk as I pulled out my phone. She sighed, then took it and added her number.
"See, you're getting the hang of friendships." I said before getting up and walking over to Geoff.
"Got both their numbers." I said plopping down in my original seat."Cool." He replied.
"Got any names?""The goth girl is Gwen, and the other on is called Courtney." I answered and took a bite from my burger, feeling satisfied with myself.
"Let's just see how it all goes down." Said Geoff.
