Chapter 2

(Duncan's POV)

I layed around my apartment, watching some random show on the TV.

I should probably call Gwen or Courtney and hang out.

I thought. I hit up Courtney's number and waited a few rings before she picked up.

"Courtney Barlow speaking how can I help you?" She asked sounding like some secretary for something.

"Yo Courtney, it's Duncan. From McDonald's yesterday?" I replied.

"Hey. So, what do you want?" She said like I was wasting her time.

"Are you free to hang out today?" I asked.

"Hang out where exactly?"

"Errr, I don't know. Want to come round to mine to watch a movie or something?" I suggested.

"Sure. Text me your address. What time do you want me there?" She asked.

"Whenever, really. I'm free all day."

"Guess I'll see you in around half an hour. Bye!" She said and hung up.

Guess who's got a date?!

I threw on some trousers and a random shirt, then went to get the popcorn ready. Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"Courtney! What brings you here?" I asked her.

Way to go Duncan, that was really a stupid question.

"You asked me to come round, remember?" She said with an annoyed tone in her voice, yet she tried to conceal it.

"Oh yeah!" I replied with a dumb smile. Then I just stood in a trance admiring her beauty.

"So," She looked away awkwardly then gave her attention to me again.
"Can I come in?"

"Yeah, of course." I say moving out the way for her to enter.

"Thank you." She said quietly as she walked past me.
"What film exactly are we watching?" Asked Courtney as she took a seat on the couch.

"How about, a horror movie?" I asked with a smirk as I sat on the sofa beside her.

"I don't watch horror films." She replied shaking her head.

"You're not scared, are you?" I smirked.

"Not at all. Just play it already." She denied.

I pressed play and the movie started rolling. During the scary parts Courtney would snuggle up to me and hide her face in my chest, then I'd put my arm around her shoulders.

"I am never doing this again." He said once the credits came up.

"Would you rather be watching Cinderella or something, princess?" I asked and smirked at the nickname I had just come up with.

"Yeah I would." She said crossing her arms. Then suddenly we heard a strange sound.
"Aaaah!" She screamed and held on to me tightly.
"What was that?" She asked with a mortified expression.

"Just the wind pushing the branches against the window. Nothing to worry little miss princess."

"Whatever. I've got to go home now." She said getting up and walking out the door. A few minutes later, the doorbell rang.

"Hey Duncan, my car literally just broke down and I was wondering if you could take me home?" Spoke Courtney.

"Sure." I said grabbing my keys and leading her to my motorbike.

"I would like to express some concern about the safety of this vehicle." She said.

"It's fine. I've been driving for years and nothing has ever happened." I explained.

I pulled out my spare helmet and gave it to her, which she took hesitantly.

"Today please." I said. She groaned and got on behind me.

"Hold on tight." I told her and she held on to me like her life depended on it. Which it did.
"Don't choke me though." I said trying to breathe.

"Sorry." She said then I sped off.

"I am never going on that thing with you ever again." Said Courtney as she hopped off the motorcycle.

"Oh come on, princess, I wasn't even going that fast." I replied.

"We nearly drove into a bus!" She complained and turned to her house.

"Nice place." I said.

"Thanks. I've only been living here for around a month." She said tucking a bit of hair behind her ear.

"Cool. Guess I'll see you around?" I told her as she opened the door.

"Definitely." She said then closed the door. I punched the air in victory after seeing how well it all went. I guess Geoff better be preparing the cash by now.

I'm not really proud of this chapter but oh well. I guess we can see slight signs of Courtney liking Duncan.

Oh my god apparently they are doing a High School Musical 4 and I literally cannot wait anymore like seriously!!! (Yes I like HSM deal with it.)
