(Gwen's POV)

I walked around town because I needed a new sketch pad. The other one had around five pages left, which I will probably use up quickly.
I went into a shop and found this 150 paged A sized book with black and grey swirly patterns on the front cover. I thought it looked perfect so I decided to buy the item.

"Hey Gwen!" I heard someone say as they tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around to see the guy with the green mohawk that I met at McDonald's the other day.

"Hi, Duncan is it?" I said. He nodded.
"Cool. So I've got to go now." I say as I exit the shop, but he follows.
"Can I help you?" I told him getting slightly annoyed.

"Am I not allowed to spend time with my friend?" He told me as slung his arm around my shoulder. I immediately pulled it off and stood a few metres away from him.

"We are not friends. You can stop pretending to like me just to make me feel better because it isn't working, trust me. I'm just the loner type of person." I answered frustrated.

"I'm not pretending. You might not realise that I have actually befriended you, so get over it and let's go to Duncan Donuts to eat." He said.

"You are aware that it's called Dunkin Donuts." I say.

"But Duncan sounds way better." He replies with a smirk and opens the door for us to walk in.

We got a box of donuts with icing and sprinkles, my favourite. Then we ordered a hot chocolate to have with them, as it was Winter and we had to warm ourselves up.

"Let's play a game." He spoke up.

"A game?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah. Like, never have I ever." He said leaning on the table.

"Sure. You start." I say lifting my hand up.

"Alright, never have I ever dated a guy." He said. My finger went down.
"Have you not?" He asked.

"No. I'm not exactly liked by people." I replied.

"That's because they don't know how awesome you are to hang out with." He told me. My unreachable heart melted slightly at his words. I felt really flattered, I was not used to being complimented.

"Thanks. I guess you're alright too." I said.

"Alright? Oh please. Darling I'm better than that." He said crossing his arms.

"Whatever." I say rolling my eyes. I grabbed my notebook and began to doodle in there.

"What are you doing?" Asked Duncan.

"Drawing." I say like it wasn't obvious enough.

"Can I see it?"

"No." I said pulling it closer to my chest so he wouldn't be able to look at it.

"Please." He whined, I shook my head. Then he grabbed my notebook to see and smirked once he saw. my cheeks turned a dark red which was very noticeable seeing how white I am.
"Personally, just taking a picture of me would've been a better choice." He said with a mocking tone.

"Shut up." I said grabbing it from him then standing up to leave.

"Where are you going?" I heard him say. I was too embarrassed to answer so I just ran away. Why did he have to see that?

Hey guys! I hope you have enjoyed the chapter. I kinda had writers block which is why it's quite short compared to what I usually write, but I think I'm proud of this.

I was cringing so bad when I wrote Gwuncan like ewwww but oh well whatever. I'll get over it eventually.
