(Courtney's POV)
I followed the dark haired man as I awkwardly attempted to sort myself out.
"You look beautiful, now stop doing that." He told me.
It was like with him, all of my insecurities suddenly just flew away. I had only known him for a few minutes, so I would consider this as strange. But I liked it.
I sat at a table as I waited for him to order our drinks. My phone began vibrating inside my bag. I took it out saw the name Duncan plastered across the screen. I simply declined and switched my phone off. He is not stopping me from having a good time.
(Duncan's POV)
"What just happened?" Asked Gwen.
"I was dating Courtney until about ten minutes ago, because she freaked when she saw me and you walk in together." I explained.
"Damn, well you've got it bad. Courtney is a major grudge holder. And I mean major when I say it." She said.
I crossed my arms on the table and rested my head in them.
"I've got to go now." I say getting up and walking off. I drove all the way to Geoff's house.
"How's it going dude?" He said once he saw me.
"That stupid bet we made has screwed everything up and my now ex girlfriend hates me." I said walking inside. I sat on the sofa and noticed that Bridgette was there.
"I'm going to go now." She said getting up and making out with Geoff on the way to the door.
I cleared my throat once I realised that they weren't going to stop any time soon.
"Yup, leaving now." She said after they broke apart.
"You can still stay. Dunca won't be here for that long." Insisted Geoff. Bridgette nodded and went into the kitchen.
"What's happened?" He asks."Well, I ended up dating Courtney, the brunette, and then earlier today I went with Gwen to meet her friend and that friend happened to be Courtney. So now she thinks I was cheating on her." I said.
"I've got a friend called Courtney." Said Bridgette walking inside.
"Does she have shoulder length brown hair, tan skin, about this tall?" She asked."Yeah." I said.
"Well then, you're screwed." She said bluntly.
"Wow, thanks for being so considerate with not hurting my feelings." I muttered sarcastically as I rolled my eyes.
"What could he do to win her back?" Asked Geoff as he leaned closer to Bridgette's direction.
"You need to do something to impress her and show that you are serious about her. Like a big 'I fucking love you' gesture." She replied.
"And how am I supposed to do that?" I asked.
"Dude's the least romantic person I know." Geoff added. I glared at him.
"Guess you're in luck that I happen to be both a girl and very close friends with Courtney." She said.
(Courtney's POV )
I was having a blast with Trent. He was such an interesting and friendly guy. He enjoys writing music and singing, he can play the guitar, and he's smart. What more could you possibly want?
He walked me home as it was only five minutes away.
"Thanks for cheering me up." I said once I got to the door.
"No problem. And I didn't catch your number..." He said pulling out his phone. I gave out a slight giggle before adding it in.
"See you soon." I said opening the door.
"Bye." He said turning around and walking off.
