5. Desire

Two nights after Wooyoung hung out with the Treasure members, Mingi found himself in front of the younger's door, knocking lightly incase the younger went to sleep already. 

After a few seconds, Woo opened up the door and stared at Mingi in surprise. 

"Hey," Mingi started slowly, "I- uh... can I come in?"

Wooyoung nodded and let the tall rapper into his room. They both sat down on Wooyoung's massive bed and stayed quiet for a few moments. 

"I'm sorry," Mingi let out. 

Wooyoung wasn't expecting it. He did not know how to feel about this. On one hand, he was aware Mingi hasn't actively participated in talking down to Wooyoung. On the other hand, Mingi didn't defend him when he needed someone- anyone to do so. 

"Mingi I-" Wooyoung started before being cut off. 

"Please hear me out- Wooyoung, you are our sunshine. Before you joined KQ, we were a team- a very strong team but you made it a family. None of us would be as comfortable with each other as we are right now if it wasn't for you. I know I should have defended you. They were frustrated and said things they shouldn't have and I froze up instead of saying something in your favor. I was scared of where things were escalating and I panicked. I'm so sorry."

Mingi's sincere words made Wooyoung feel slightly guilty. Everyone in the group was aware about Mingi's anxiety, especially towards confrontation. It must have been hard for him to be in that space and see his members fighting. 

Wooyoung sighed upon realizing Mingi was on his side after all. 

"Mingi-ya, Thank you for letting me know your perspective. I'm not mad at you," Wooyoung offered a smile.

Mingi pulled the younger into a tight hug, feeling relieved to have finally made up with the light of their group. 

"Please don't shut me out anymore," Mingi begged the younger.

"Okay," Wooyoung smiled. They spent that night watching movies and cuddling under the blanket. Mingi often let out how much he adored Woo and the younger would just giggle at his antics. 

Wooyoung felt relieved for a while. His time with Mingi eased the pain just a little bit. 

Although Wooyoung made up with Mingi, he still kept his distance from the rapper when they were with the rest of the members. Wooyoung considered himself an outsider by then and did not want Mingi to stray from the others as well.

But it was obvious the two have made up by the way Wooyoung would smile at Mingi during their team dinners or the way Mingi would lean into Wooyoung during their movie nights. 

Three weeks after Mingi and Wooyoung made up, their company delivered them finalized news of their next comeback. All 8 members were over the moon with this news. Wooyoung focused more on improving his skills, abandoning social gatherings and parties temporarily. 

Jongho found himself wanting to apologize to his immediate older hyung and make up but Wooyoung always seemed to be busy. The members were constantly getting worried about not being able to makeup with Wooyoung despite a lot of time passing. 

"I just want to apologize to him before the comeback. I want us to be okay again before we do more things in our life. It's so different without his sunshine personality," Seonghwa whined to Hongjoong, Yeosang and Jongho one evening during their movie night.
