Birthday Shopping

(Time Skip, One Week)

Benny's Pov.
The guys had to keep Scotty occupied, while I went out. I was going shopping for my lovers birthday. I had 4 whole dollars. (Which, in modern days is $41.32)
I had to get this done, My dad took me to the local mall.
"Ok Benny, I'll be back at 3:00pm. Be ready." My dad said as I got out of the car.
"Yup, I'll be out here," I said, as I got out of the car.
I walked in the mall. And the first thing I saw was Lindsey White. A girl who's had the biggest crush on me for years. I had to go somewhere, where she wouldn't notice me. Luckily, the store I wanted to go to, was close. I slipped past her, and her friends,
before they saw me.

I got everything I needed, and a little extra. I looked at the time, 2:35p.m I still had 25 minutes here. I figured I could just wait outside.
I began to walk to the exit of the mall, when my worst nightmare happened.
"OMG! BENNY!?" I heard Lindsey yell. I turned to look, and saw her, fangirling. She ran up to me.
"Benny! I haven't seen you since school let out!" She said, all excited to see me.
"What do you want Lindsey?" I asked, trying to back away from her. She kept getting closer.
"Oh Benny," she started to say. I didn't like it, my lover says that to me, all the time.
"You know I love you, and I wanna date you!" She exclaimed.
"Will you be my boyfriend Benny" she asked.
Shit.
"Uhh, Lindsey. I can't be your boyfriend." I said.
She gasped.
"Well why not!? I'm the prettiest girl in our school!"
"Well... I.. I'm already taken.." I said, still trying to back away.
"By who!?"
I didn't say anything. I just looked away.
"Benny. Who is she!?" She questioned.
How do I tell her, it's not a girl..
"Uhm.. uh.. well.." I began to say.
"Get on with it Benny." She said sternly.
"It's not anyone you know," I said.
"Oh please. I know every girl in this town."
"I swear, you don't know him! He's never been to our school!" I said, in a rush for some reason.
"If he's never been to our school the- Wait. Did you say, 'He'?" She asked. I just nodded my head.
"You're gay!?" She asked, pretty loudly.
"Yeah."
"It's that Smalls boy ain't it!?"
"H-how, did you know?"

"Some people have told me. Not any of your guy friends, from the little baseball sandy place you play at." She said as she crossed her arms. I looked over at the time again, 2:50pm.
"Look, Lindsey. I gotta go. I don't have time for this." I said as I turned around to head for the exit of the mall.
"I had a feeling he was queer." I heard one of Lindseys friends say.

Lindsey's Pov.
I can't believe he is gay. Don't worry Benny. I'll make you love me, one way or another.

Benny's Pov.
I waited around outside for my dad. I looked at everything I got, and it was perfect. I had everything I needed.
I soon saw my dad, and went to the car. I got in the front seat, and sighed.
"What's wrong Benny?" My dad asked.
"Do you remember that girl, Lindsey?" I asked.
"Oh, the one that had the biggest crush on you?"
"Yeah. Well, she was there, and wouldn't leave me alone. And she found out I'm gay, and got mad." I said as I looked out the window.
"Eh, just ignore her. She'll get over it." He said.
We were driving home. And I showed him what I got for Scotty.

We made it home, and I snuck everything upstairs, and into my closet. I already have everything planned out the day of Scotty's birthday. We get up, like normal. I spoil him a little bit. Then we go to the sandlot and play, and while we're there, my parents set up the party. And we play until 5:00-5:30pm. The party is go to be like, half inside, but mainly outside. All of the guys are coming to the party. And we celebrate until like, 8:30pm. And that's as far as I've gotten yet.
After I finished putting everything away, I went downstairs, and to the sandlot to get my lover.

Scotty's Pov.
I played with the guys all day. While Benny was out doing something, that I couldn't be with him for. So, I had to stay here, with the guys. It's not a bad thing, I just.. It's better when Benny's here. It's always been like that.
Benny was with us in the morning, but at 1:00pm he had to leave.
I stood in my position, at second base. Like always, and watched as Kenny pitched, and Yeah-yeah batted. Second base, was the closest to the exit, I guess, every new members get put out here. I've only been here, for like, 2-3 months. But I still, met the love of my life and friends who except me.
Speaking of the love of my life, I heard someone entering the sandlot.
I turned around, to see Benny.
"Mi amor!" He said, happy to see me.
"HI baby," I said, as he walked up to me. He hugged me. And went over to the bench for his bat.
Yeah-Yeah stepped down from batting to let Benny bat.
We played for the rest of the day, till 7:30pm. We all decided to call it a night. We all parted our ways, and said we'd meet up tomorrow.
Benny and I were walking.
"Benny," I said.
"Yeah, mi amor"
"I'm bored." I said with a sigh.
"We're going home, what else can we do? It's dark out." He said,
"I don't know, but I don't really want to go home."
Benny took a second to say anything
"Well, where do you want to go?" He finally asked.
"I don't really know," I said
Benny took another second.
"Wanna go down to the doc?" He asked.
"Sure," I said. We began to walk to the docs, along the water. The walk was a 10-15 minute walk, but we didn't care.

Benny's Pov.
As my lover and I were walking to the doc, I interlocked my right hand, with his left. He's usually always on my right side, sometimes hes in my left.
With our hands interlocked, I brought them up to my face, and kissed his hand. He giggled,
"What's so funny?" I asked with a with a smirk,
He laughed,
"I don't know, just you being you." He said,
"Is that a bad thing?"
"Are you kidding? No, not in a million years is it bad. I love you, for you," he said as he got closer to me.
"And I love you, because of your personality, humor, looks and more." I said. He smiled at me, and blushed.
"I love you, so much" I said.
"And I love you," he said with a heartwarming smile.
He continued to talk, all the way until we got to the doc.
We walked all the way down it, and sat down. We both watched as the sunset reflected off of the water.
I looked at my lover, who was admiring it. He is so adorable.
I lend closer to him. I brought my lips to his, and kissed him. He turned to face me, and we continued the kiss
