A Fun Time

I wrote this for fun.   :]

I am reviving all my books, except the completed ones, of course. A new chapter of Bored has been released, Hate Me had a new chapter recently, and now this is getting a revival. Woohoo! My love of writing, it's back! It was never gone I jus don't have time. Lol.

"No you don't, you loaf me." I said.

"Was that a pun?" Melissa asked

"Yes, yes it was," I answered honestly. "Bread one to be specific."

   "Fu¢k you." She said back.

   "You're welcome, I know I am a comedy genius." I sarcastically jested.

"The only genius you are in comedy is being bad at it." Melissa poked fun at me. Too be honest, I agree. I am not very funny, but I do make her laugh.

"Well, if I am not funny, then I guess you don't have a good sense of humor. I mean, you've almost died laughing at some." I quipped.

"Everyone has their good ones. You just get lucky." She countered.

"Yeah, sure. I get lucky. You're saying that to the person who gets fifty bruises just by walking around." I combatted.

"It's not my fault you can't see." They opposed.

"Hello, what would you like to order?" The waitress asked politely.

"I would like pancakes and scrambled eggs, please." Melissa answered flawlessly. Crap. I forgot I am bad at talking to strangers.

"Oh, um. Iii would like waffles, uh, bacon, and scrambled eggs, please." I said considerably quieter. That wasn't that badddd, right, right? Ah, I really need to work on that.

"Ok, that will be out in a bit." The waitress told us.

"Uhm, are you ok?" Melissa asked me. I was staring at the table like it was the most interesting thing in the whole restaurant. "You're A bit red."

"I realized why I don't go out to eat often." I replied, half joking and half serious. A nice mixture of awkwardness.

   "Why?"

   "Talking." I responded.

"I know right? I like going out, but ordering is so awkward and when you're done it feels worse for no reason! It's like they are being polite and everyone is just looking around waiting for someone to order first. When you're done eating it is even more awkward." She ranted.

"Yeah, especially when you need to ask for a box," I added. "That is the worst for me."

   "Exactly."

"You did well, though. You seemed like you were confident in what you were saying," I complimented. "I looked like I didn't know what I was doing."

"Oh, that's good, because I haven't been here before. I just knew it was breakfast place, so I just ordered what I always order from breakfast places I don't know. Pancakes." Melissa said.

"That gave me a question, what is your favorite breakfast food?" I asked.

"I don't have an answer to that one. I'll have to figure that out. I like pancakes, but they're not the best everywhere," Melissa thought aloud. "Hmm, I don't know."

   "I like trains."

   "Excuse me?"
