Chapter 2

The hallway was long but the trip to my new room was short. Azrael led me to the third door in the hallway. The hallway had nine doors on each side and one more at the end. My thoughts were interrupted by Azrael's deep voice. "Here's your room. If you don't like it, you can move to another room, just tell me what room you want. The bathrooms are conjoined with each room. They all have electricity and some of my old clothes. You can either keep them and use them or just move them, please don't throw them out without asking first."

I nodded and went into my new room. It looked amazing. It was a decent size with a king sized bed that was covered with soft blankets and fluffy pillows. The walls were a nice light gray and the floors were covered with really soft carpet. The carpet was white with light blue accents to it. There were fairy lights hanging from the ceiling. There was a shelf of stuffed animals on the wall closest to the bed, on the opposite side a shelf filled with books. Man, this guy must really like reading if he has this many books. The wardrobe was pushed next to the door I assumed was the bathroom so I quickly opened it up to change.

I was still really tired so I didn't look around the bathroom. I just took a warm shower and changed into some clothes I got from the wardrobe. The clothes were very comfortable. But I didn't focus on that for long as I drew closer to the big soft heaven in front of me. I flopped down on the bed but that's where my luck ran out. I couldn't fall asleep for what felt like hours. Even when I eventually did, what I saw when I closed my eyes was a nightmare.

There was fire and blood everywhere. It looked like a city but also a war- no, not a war zone- a massacre zone. Multiple explosions went off, one really close to me. Suddenly I hear a lot of yelling. Some were yelling my name, some were just yelling. I was terrified. Someone ran up to me trying to tell me something but all I could hear was ringing. He looked familiar but I couldn't place where I knew him from. His White heir was shining from the sun. He looked perfect. I started shaking but not like shaking from fear more so shaking to be woken up.

I jumped up, my eyes stinging from the bright light. Azreal was sitting on the bed. For a split second he looked worried but as soon as I saw it it disappeared. "You were screaming, I came to make sure you weren't making my house all messy. But now you're awake, breakfast is ready. Come out when your ready and please get dressed first." I was embarrassed to say the least. I nodded and sprinted to the bathroom to wash my face. I swear I could hear a light chuckle before the door fully shut.

After I got ready into a light blue button-up shirt and white skirt that I had brought with me from home, I went out to the living room. When I got there Azreal was reading on the sofa. "Hey. What are you reading about?" He didn't look up but he did point to the coffee table.''Here's your food and mythology, Leith mythology." I sat down on the sofa making sure there was enough room between me and him before digging in. Saying that food was the best I ever had would be the understatement of the malenea.

He smirked and got up. I watched with curiosity as he walked to the bookshelf. I thought he was going to put the book he had back but I was wrong. He grabbed the first book in the series then walked back to me. Now very curious I stared at him. He handed me the book then sat back down a little closer to me this time.

"Thank you." I read the back of the book then opened it up and started reading. We stayed like that for what felt like five minutes but was really hours. He looked up and saw it was about noon. As he closed his book it got my attention so I looked to see what time it was. I shot up and quickly tried to pick up the dishes from breakfast and went to the kitchen to wash them.

About half way through a knock on the door. I went to open it but was picked up by my new roommate and thrown over his shoulder. " Hey what are you doing? I was just about to get the door." I tried staying calm because he doesn't seem like the type to do this for no reason but it still shocked me. "Please stay in your room until I come get you. They are dangerous people and I won't fully be able to protect you and them from getting hurt."

I quieted down and stopped thrashing around. We made it to my room and he quickly left to greet them. I could hear them talk down the hall. It was getting louder but I couldn't understand what they were saying. It must have been in a different language because it was just gibberish to me. They walked right by my room and I quickly and without thinking cast a sound barrier so they couldn't hear me.
