Chapter Two

Scene 1: The day after Louis arrived, he and Harry are having 'breakfast' in the kitchen.

LOUIS: (chews on 2nd cupcake) "So anything I need to know for tomorrow?"

HARRY: (sarcastic) "Well since tomorrow's the first day of sixth form and I haven't been in sixth form before, I'd say look out for everything."

LOUIS: (continues to munch sloppily, looking unperturbed)

HARRY: (mock disgust, thinks) "All these cupcakes are going to go straight to his ass, I swear."

LOUIS: (reads his mind, smirks) "No they don't, this," (shakes his ass) "is all natural."

HARRY: (obviously uncomfortable) "Stay out of my head."

LOUIS: (makes Harry slap himself) "Don't sass me child."

HARRY: (surprised) "I'm older than you!"

LOUIS: "Whatever."

Knocks are heard at the door. A certain rhythm that makes Harry smile.

LOUIS: "Who's that?"

HARRY: (creepy smile) "A friend you should meet."

The two get up and walk out to the front room. Harry opens the door with a big smile and open arms.

HARRY: (excited scream) "AFFIE!"

AFTON: (mocking) "HAZZY!"

Louis watches on as the redhead sneers at Harry laughing his head off. He ignores the heat she brings into the room, since its so little, compared to whoever Harry had with him yesterday. Her sapphire eyes catch Louis' and her lips curl up into a sly smile.

LOUIS: (shy expression) "Hi."

AFTON: (checks him out) "Hello, I'm Afton, are you single?"

LOUIS: (looks her up and down) "Do you have a dick?" (sweet smile)

AFTON: (embarrassed laugh) "Ummm no.."

LOUIS: (deflates) "Too bad. Well I'm Louis by the way."

HARRY: (still catching his breath) "That shut you down." (starts laughing at Afton)

AFTON: (blushed) "Shut up you twit."

Scene 2: Afton sticks around and is stuck with Louis while Harry showers.

LOUIS: (apologetic) "Hey I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable earlier."

AFTON: (confused at first but remembers quickly) "Oh it's okay. Harry's gay so I'm cool with it," (becomes worried) "why? he didn't tell you he's gay?"

LOUIS: (pats her shoulder reassuringly) "I'm sure he would have told me eventually. I mean, he knows I'm gay, and he never had a problem with it... so.."

AFTON: (sighs with relief) "Oh I thought I told some big secret or something, because he and Zayn are so fucking sappy.. it sickens me."

LOUIS: (interested) "Who's Zayn?"

AFTON: (surprised) "You haven't met him yet? The two of them are literally joined at the mouth."

LOUIS: (whispers) "Harry was at his house last night?"

AFTON: (nods) "Let me tell you all the deets. Harry met Zayn two summers ago, when Zayn moved here. He was that mysterious guy with the sexy hair, Harry use to call him. We went to the welcoming party his neighbor had and before I knew it Harry and him were snogging in a closet," (laughs) "Harry was so embarrassed when I caught them, wouldn't talk to me for a week."

LOUIS: (snickers) "How old is he?"

AFTON: (softly) "He was 17 back then so.. that plus 2.. 19.. (affirmative) yeah he's 19 now."

LOUIS: (quiet) "Liam's 19.."

AFTON: (wiggles eyebrow) "Who's Liam?"

LOUIS: (blank) "My ex boyfriend."

AFTON: (joking) "What did he do?"

LOUIS: (thinks) "I should tell someone. Plus I feel like I can trust her," (sighs) "he use to.. hit me? Try to kill me.. that sort of thing."

AFTON: (thrown off, wasn't expecting that) "Oh.. Louis oh God. I'm sorry. I didn't.. I-"

LOUIS: (chuckles, but a tear drips down his cheek) "It's fine. I needed to tell someone. I feel like I could trust you," (sniffles, looks at her with a sad smile) "please don't make me regret that feeling," (small) "I regret so much already."

AFTON: (cuddles closer to Louis) "I won't tell anyone, babe. Now tell Auntie Afton what happened. Come on, get it off your chest."

LOUIS: (thankful, snuggles closer) "I kinda ran away with him. I-That was the worst mistake I every made. I haven't talked to my immediate family since.. I left."

AFTON: (rubs his shoulder) "So what brought you here love?"

LOUIS: "Auntie Anne, see she always tried to stay in touch with me, so when it got really bad.. I called her up and asked if I could stay a while... so here I am.."

AFTON: "I'm glad you got out. Are you going to be coming to school?"

LOUIS: (laughs humourlessly, wipes away tears) "Yeah. I'm going to be shit though. Drama, Art, Literature and P.E... yeah that's about it... and Math and English."

AFTON: "Maybe you'll be in my Drama class. And my Art class."

LOUIS: (snickers) "Maybe," (serious) "what are you.. I know you're some kind of supernatural or have powers.."

AFTON: (gets up) "I can shape shift.. .. and I can use your powers too," (places a hand on Louis shoulder, shape shifts) "I can do what you can do too... and it looks like you have telekinesis," (moves a soda can around) "or I can touch and object and turn into that too." (changes back)

LOUIS: (amazed) "Cool," (intrigued) "do you have to touch the object or the person to shape shift?"

AFTON: "No, I just need to know how they look," (changes into Harry) "tada!"

LOUIS: "Sick." (amazed)
