I heard him laugh, a sadistic callous laugh. I felt my eyes pricking with water, as tears begged to leave my eye lids. I blinked the tears back, encouraging myself not to cry. This was not a nightmare, it was very much real.
I felt his breath on my face, and he whispered "don’t cry Miss Ella". The sudden gush of wind blew through the window which stung my face causing it to freeze. I couldn't hide the fear that escaped my body like wild electricity. I pulled the covers of my blanket up covering me over the shoulders. I watched him pace the room and eventually stop by the window. I heard him sigh and wondered what he wanted, when he spoke "ten pm, it’s still very early ". He turned around, leaning against the window sill his dark grey eyes observing my room.
"What does the time have to do with anything, why can't you just leave?" I thought aloud. His gaze almost instantaneously shot to me and he laughed.
"Time is very significant and for someone who's very short on time you certainly do have no appreciation for it. Tsk tsk tsk," he grinned.
"Short on time? What is that supposed to mean? "I asked losing all fear.
"Ah, such trivial matters really should not bother you", he said.
"How can you make such a statement and expect me not to worry about it?" the anger I felt began to surge through my body like a mist of dark clouds taking over.
"You see Ella-"
"Don't call me Ella, YOU are not that important to have the honour of calling me Ella" I spat with sheer bitterness, with all fear suddenly over thrown by a new form of rage, rage I have never harboured before. Within seconds my blanket was thrown and I was standing in front of this stranger brave but furious for the torment he brought and shouted "you have no right being here now get out, before I start to scream".
He roared with laughter and sat on my bed, "I’ll give you one chance to run there's the door, you can go". I looked at him dumbstruck and found myself running towards the door. I began to turn the handle to open the door when I heard his shrill taunting laugh again. . . The door was locked!
My back suddenly hit the door; he faced me towards him and said "do you honestly think I would let you get away, Miss Ella? You have been oblivious to our existence for far too long now and you are a danger to us all. I am Jason Leveirra prince of darkness. I run one of the greatest underworld gangs to date and I shall be damned if I let you ruin it all. No Miss Ella, tonight will be your last night".
He flung me on to the bed were I quietly wept in silence. He sat across me watching me intently. "What have I done? Why are you doing this to me? I don’t understand how have I ruined you? I don’t know what you are talking about?" I wept uncontrollably.
"Sigh, I know Miss Ella. But I have no choice. You must be ki-" he broke off. I looked up at him, he seemed worried, all his confidence had left his face’s heard the door bell ring and realised why he looked so distressed. I used this as way to save myself and pushed him backwards. He was caught off guard and stumbled to the floor and I used this as an opportunity to get help. I ran to the window and was just about to scream when he yanked me away from the window throwing me hard against the door. I couldn’t care now because I knew I would be safe. My saviour has come.
Everything went blank.
