Continuation of flashback ~

"Hurry up hyung, please."jaehyun shouted abit while running around the entire classroom.

"Shut up or I won't hesitate using this knife in my hand."sungho threatened pointing the knife in his direction.

"Jeez sorryyyyy. I was just kidding, please continue." jaehyun backed away, now moving towards the board to annoy his other hyung.

"Oh my god Riwoo hyung, it's Yoon Ma-ri not Moon Ma-ri, like are you being fr rn?"he shouted once again.

"Shut up please, I'm begging you."leehan said trying to cover his mouth so he couldn't shout.

"But I am just correcting him."

"Please go and decorate the walls, I can write on my own, I'm not a five years old."Riwoo said keeping his entire focus on writing birthday wishes on that whiteboard.

"No one wants me here, I should go and spend some quality time with taesan before he gets busy in his lovey dovey relationship."jaehyun said and was about to leave the classroom when someone shouted from behind,

"I swear, myung jaehyun if you spoiled even a single thing..."Sungho was about to threaten him again but he cut him off.

"I won't, don't worry."he said and left.

Thirty minutes passed by and they were done with all the arrangements.
Taesan being the shy introvert he was, was never going to confess on his own so they planned everything out to help their friend. It was an arrangement to help taesan in confessing to his crush on her birthday.

Yoon Ma-ri, a girl from their class. She was pretty popular in school because of her ethereal visuals and her cheerful and bubbly personality.

Taesan had this one sided crush on her for past few months but no matter how much they tried, he wasn't ready to confess so they had to plan everything out without him knowing.

As soon as the clock struck 11am, Ma-ri entered the class looking breathtaking as always. She sat down on her usual spot and that's when the lights turned off suddenly.

She panicked and stood up only to get startled by the loud birthday wishes afterwards.

"Happy birthday Ma-ri."all of her classmates shouted simultaneously, making her smile afterwards.

She cut the cake and was about to sit down on her seat once again when,

"Go on and confess taesan-ah."sungho whispered in taesan's ear.

He gave his friends a wtf look and was looking clueless and dumbfounded.
That's when leehan approached him and said in a low voice,
"Taesan-ah, it's your first and last chance. Go on, don't ruin our efforts."he slightly pushed taesan forward.

Taesan looked in the direction of his friends who just nodded. That's when he took a deep breath and approached her.

He sat beside her and began in a low voice.

"Umm hi"

"Hey, HRU taesan? Long time no see."Ma-ri replied back.

"Yeah it's just, I'm good. Wbu?"he was clearly nervous and it was showing.

"I'm good too."she smiled afterwards.

Awkward silence occurred and none of them spoke anything for good ten minutes.

"Do you have like anything to talk about or...? Ma-ri questioned trying to change the awkward atmosphere.

"Y-yeah I just wanna confess that from the moment I saw you for the first time, I fell for you. I'm not good with words but I just want to ask, if we can go out together someday?"he said whatever came to his mind in one breath.

Ma-ri was speechless. Her expressions changed suddenly. She stood up in an instant and said in a voice that was barely audible,

"I'm sorry b-but i can't."

She ran outside the classroom afterwards, never looking back....

(End of flashback)

"Yeah she just left that day and we never heard about her afterwards until one day, when we got to know that she took her own life by drowning herself." Leehan sighed, a lone tear falling down his cheek.

"Taesan wasn't doing well from the day when she rejected his proposal but the day we heard about her taking her own life, he went numb and we didn't see that old cheerful and playful taesan ever again."sungho said as he patted the younger's back afterwards.

"But what happened to her, like why she took her own life?"woonhak questioned.

"We have no clue. Basically no one in school knew about her family background or her status so we never got to know anything but she did leave something for taesan before leaving that day.... Wait a minute; where is that letter, leehan?"sungho questioned, turning to face leehan.

"Oh that letter, we never talked about it and I don't know where it is."leehan replied.

"What letter?"woonhak questioned once again.

"That day when she rejected him, she left a letter for him before leaving. We never talked with taesan about that cuz we just didn't want him to recall those painful memories again."said leehan.

"We need to find that letter as soon as possible."sungho said and stood up in an instant....
